Our Controls Division designs and manufactures high quality, comprehensive solutions that reliably perform for some of the most demanding markets in the world, serving the medical, off-highway, and military / aerospace customers with switches, grips, and joysticks.\nAs a core value, we focus on delivering for our customers through innovative technology, superior quality, value, and responsiveness … as a result, our growth continues! \nEmployees are our greatest asset, which is why we share our company’s profits to celebrate our collective success. \nAs a privately-owned company, we are proud to invest significantly in our community and in our own growth, focusing on long-term business success.\nWe are proudly American!\nOur\nManufacturing Engineering Technician\nwill assist Manufacturing Engineers and Tool Development Engineers in daily activities including fixture development and troubleshooting, streamlining manufacturing processes, and special projects.\nThe Manufacturing Engineering Technician will:\nEstablish design concept for jigs and fixtures from production drawings, piece parts, Production feedback, or Manufacturing Engineering feedback that meet or exceed the requirements on all respects\nMake design changes to existing tooling to improve product quality and reduce cycle time\nAssemble and debug mechanisms\nOrder purchased components for in house design mechanisms\nWork with Machine Shop and outside suppliers to have component parts fabricated\nMachine or modify component parts\nDesign, build, program and debug controller boxes on in-house or purchased equipment\nInspect and service electric and electronic control circuit and panels periodically\nDisassemble, repair, or replace worn or defective parts\nAssist in moving equipment\nProvides support to production supervision\nAdjustment of equipment to maintain quality\nIdentify and implement machine improvements\nAssist with other related duties as required or assigned\nAbout you - What you’ll bring to the table:\n1-2 years related experience preferred\nBasic communication skills\nLift equipment up to 40 lbs.\nExperience using machining equipment\nExperience in basic electronics, wiring, and programming\nWhat OTTO offers for this specific position:\nThe hiring range listed in this posting is what we, in good faith, anticipate relying on when confirming a base salary for this position; exceptions may be considered for highly experienced candidates with multiple years of at-level experience.\nTarget base salary hiring range: $52,000 to $67,000, based on qualifications and experience.\nProfit Sharing Bonus - OTTO believes that it’s fair to share the profits that the employees help to make; profit sharing is distributed to employees twice a year.
