Please only apply if you live and work full-time in one of the states listed above or plan to relocate to one of these states before starting your employment with OU Health.**\nState locations and specifics are subject to change as our hiring requirements shift.\nUnder general supervision, the EDI Developer II is responsible for the design, development, deployment and implementation of integrations between Epic and 3rd party applications utilizing an integration engine and Epic Bridges.\nEssential Responsibilities\nResponsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.\nDesign and build HL7, FHIR, API integrations between 3rd Party applications and Epic. Utilize Corepoint integration engine and Epic Bridges to implement the solution.\nDocument data flow, vendor support contacts, specifications, custom translations and operational sign off. Reviews vendor interface specifications and develops custom HL7 derivatives\nWorks with the EDI team to help diagnose and resolve interface-related issues, and participating in their projects as needed.\nWorks with operations and the PMO office to identify EDI solutions for business problems.\nConfigure API’s and provide interface support.\nCollaborate with vendors, internal information technology staff and clinical staff to ensure that interfaces and converted data are tested and implemented to meet specifications.\nAnalyze, asses, build and maintain interfaces for all data exchange methodologies including HL7, X12, flat files, web services, FHIR, API and more.\nProvides advanced troubleshooting for all integration methods.\nMeets with the Change Management Board to garner approval for departmental changes.\nMeets with the Project Management Office and vendors to manage current projects.\nDocuments data flow, process, logic customizations and other technical documents.\nMentors EDI Developer I and meets with EDI Developer III to implement departmental standards.\nGeneral Responsibilities\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications\nEducation Requirements: Bachelor's degree required.\nExperience Requirements: 3-5 years of relevant IT or clinical experience required.\nLicense(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required:\nEpic Bridges Certification required upon hire.\n\nCorepoint Integration Engine Certification required within 3 months of class completion.\n\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:\nIT integrations utilizing variable based logic and coding\n\nIT troubleshooting skills\n\nProject management experience\n\nExperience with Corepoint or other integration engine\n\nEpic Bridges experience\n\nUnderstanding of HL7, X12, FHIR and API data structures\n\nUnderstanding of data structures within an Electronic Health Records\n\nAttention to detail and organization\n\nStrong communication skills\n\nStrong relationship building skills\n\nCurrent OU Health Employees - Please clickHEREto login.\nOU Health is an equal opportunity employer.
