It is why all 6,000 of us in 52 countries care deeply about reaching more people, in more places, with world-class learning and research materials and services.\nAbout the position:\nWe are looking for an Accounting Analyst to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy by leveraging data analytics, automation, and reconciliation processes, while providing strategic insights through advanced reporting tools such as Power BI.\nResponsible of all finance activities, including general ledger, cost control, inventory, and company fixed assets, and responsible for preparing financial statements and reports, as necessary or mandatory.\nThis role should be based in Mexico City\nMain responsibilities:\nAccounting & Reconciliation\nElaborate transactional accounting entries/provisions.\nPerform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.\nMaintain compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.\nExecute processes in ERP: Average Cost, On Line Accounting, Branch Office Consolidation (UK) in ERP, Calculate of the Result UK/ México.\nAmortization and chargeback analysis.\nReconcile statements of OUPs UK, Canada and Spain branches.\nCost Center validation, Benefit Center and Chart of Accounts maintenance.\nResponsible for the accounting of doubtful debt\nGAAP to GAAP (MX/UK/IFRS) reconciliation, account closing checklist follow up & Compliance\n\n Fixed Assets ManagementRegistry of physical inventory (Cyclical & Annual).\nAsset Creation & Depreciation Accounting.\nMonthly Depreciation runs and set-up.\n\n Process AutomationDesign and implement automated workflows for recurring accounting tasks (e.g., reconciliations, reporting, journal entries).\n\nCollaborate with IT and finance teams to streamline processes and reduce manual workload.\n\nAdhere to OUP Ethical Policies \nThis is a full-time role.\nAbout You:\nThe successful candidate will need to possess the following skills:\nEssential:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.\nAbility to design and implement automation solutions for accounting processes.\nExperience: 3-5 years in accounting roles reporting outside the country.\nFamiliarity with automation tools and database management.\n\nDesirable:\nGJC Level: I4 (for internal purposes only)\nWe are committed to supporting diversity in our workforce and ensuring an inclusive environment where all individuals can thrive.
