Packaging is often the first physical touchpoint with our customers, and this role is critical in ensuring that our packaging reflects our brand values, protects our products, and delivers a world-class unboxing experience. The Packaging Product Manager will work across global, cross-functional teams to design and deliver sustainable, high-quality, and cost-effective packaging solutions.\nWhat You Will Do:\nPackaging Ownership\nOwn Oura’s packaging roadmap, aligning with product launches, global and retail expansion, and partnerships\nLead packaging projects through all phases: research, design, prototyping, testing, validation/approvals, production, and scaling\nWork closely with hardware, operations, marketing, creative, and design teams to ensure timely, high-quality execution\nOversee in-box content, such as quick-start guides and compliance sheet\nRequirements Management\nWrite and manage packaging requirements (PRDs) and/or briefs, track progress, and facilitate decision-making across teams\nCoordinate closely with other product managers and product marketing managers to ensure overall requirements and vision alignment are represented in packaging\nIdentify and resolve packaging-related tradeoffs\nCustomer & Brand Experience\nEnsure packaging delivers a premium, thoughtful, and on-brand unboxing experience that delights customers\nChampion environmentally responsible materials and processes, supporting Oura’s commitment to sustainability\nMarket & User Insights\nConduct competitive benchmarking and get customer feedback analysis to inform packaging decisions\nUse data-driven insights and user studies to continuously improve packaging performance and experience\nCommunication & Collaboration\nPartner with design, operations, manufacturing, and marketing teams to align priorities and tradeoffs\nEffectively communicate packaging strategy, plans, progress, and challenges to stakeholders across the organization\nManage and implement cross-functional and executive leadership feedback. Ensure all projects receive proper signoff and approvals\nThis is an in-office role in our San Francisco office.\nRequirements:\nWe Would Love to Consider You for this Role if You Have:\n3+ years of experience in product management\nExperience with packaging development from concept to production\nKnowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chain considerations\nKnowledge of packaging standards, testing certifications and compliance requirements\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams\nPassion for creating exceptional customer experiences and using technology to help people live healthier lives\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and drive projects to completion\nNice to have:\nExperience in consumer electronics, wearables, or premium consumer goods\nExperience working with global teams and suppliers\nStrong track record of balancing brand, sustainability, cost, and operational constraints\nBenefits\nAt Ōura, we care about you and your well-being.
