As a quickly growing company focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives, we ensure that our team members have what they need to do their best work - both in and out of the office. \nWe are looking for a Staff Antenna Design Engineer to develope high performing miniaturized antennas and RF to our future products.\nWhat You Will Do:\nYou will create high performing wearable products.\nDesign, simulate, and optimize antennas for low-power wearable devices, including multi-band multisystem solutions.\nPerform electromagnetic simulations (e.g., CST, HFSS, others) and validate designs with bench and OTA measurements.\nBuild prototypes quickly and effectively to evaluate design concepts\nCollaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, and firmware teams to integrate antennas into highly constrained form factors.\nConduct over-the-air (OTA) performance testing and troubleshooting in collaboration with other engineering teams.\nDrive root cause analysis and design iteration for antenna performance issues in prototypes and production units.\nWork with suppliers, manufacturing partners, and Oura manufacturing teams to ensure antenna performance is maintained throughout production.\nDocument design processes, results, and performance metrics for internal knowledge sharing and regulatory compliance.\nStay up to date on emerging materials, methods, and technologies in miniature antenna design.\nTravel to support prototype builds in both Europe and Asia: ~5-20% of time yearly\nWe Would Love to Consider You for this Role if You Have:\n10+ years experience in antenna and RF design, preferably for compact consumer electronics, wearables or IoT devices\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.\nProficiency with electromagnetic simulation tools such as CST Microwave Studio, Ansys HFSS or others\nExperience with antenna measurement tools (e.g., vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, radio communication testers, OTA chambers).\nStrong understanding of RF fundamentals, antenna concepts, matching networks, and PCB layout considerations for antennas.\nProven ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate technical concepts clearly.\nKnowledge of Industry Standards and Regulatory Requirements: Be familiar with industry standards and regulations related to wireless communication, such as those from the FCC, ETSI, or ITU.\nNice to have:\nExperience designing antennas for wearable or ultra-compact devices.\nFamiliarity with Bluetooth, BLE, NFC, Wireless charging and other multi-system antenna solutions and RF protocols\nKnowledge of SAR compliance and RF regulatory requirements.\nExperience working with overseas manufacturing partners.\nBenefits\nAt Ōura, we care about you and your well-being.
