We're looking for engineers who are:\nSelf-Driven Owners: You take a feature from idea to production and keep improving it.\nGlobal Collaborators: You communicate proactively and in writing across time zones and cultures.\nAgile Thinkers: You ship small experiments, measure the results, and share what you learn with the team.\nResponsibilities:\nArchitect, build, and optimize software systems for our ads management platform on AWS, using agentic AI-assisted development practices.\nDevelop product features and internal tools that improve customer experience and engineering productivity.\nPartner with cross-functional stakeholders to design maintainable technical solutions.\nMaintain and evolve core platform components with a focus on reliability, performance, and scalability.\nMust-Have Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n8+ years of professional software development experience, with strong proficiency in Java.\nHands-on experience with agentic coding practices, prompt engineering, or structured interactions with AI coding assistants to streamline development workflows.\nDeep understanding of algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, concurrency, and distributed systems.\nExperience designing and developing RESTful APIs in UNIX/Linux environments.\nExperience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle), cloud platforms (AWS strongly preferred, or GCP), and container technologies such as Docker.\nHands-on experience with, or strong willingness to adopt, agentic AI coding tools and workflows to streamline development.\nNice to Have:\nFamiliarity with React.js and Node.js.\nProgramming proficiency in Python.\nExperience in data science or machine learning.\nProficiency in Chinese.\nSoft Skills & Communication:\nExcellent technical analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nProactive mindset with a strong sense of end-to-end ownership.\nBusiness-level Japanese and English, both spoken and written.\nWork Schedule & Location:\nOverlapping Hours: Engineering team are based in both Japan and the United States, this role requires working from 6:00 AM JST (Tuesday through Friday) to maintain sufficient overlapping hours with U.S. based colleagues.
