To produce the highest quality of healthy, tasteful, and natural products while adhering to sanitation and production standards.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT: Fast paced kitchen and retail floor. Work near moving mechanical parts (i.e. blenders, ovens, etc.) and in cold/hot climate conditions (i.e. cooler or near stove). Ability to work in moderate and loud noise environments including, but not limited to: computers, paging, telephones, human voices, and machinery. Position requires working during busy retail times, which include weekends, afternoons, and evenings.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:\n1. Customer Service\nTreat people fairly, consistently, and with respect.\nEnsure efficient, informative, and friendly service according to established customer service vision and standards.\n2. Café Department Responsibilities\nDepartment Operations\nEnsure customers are all greeted and assisted in timely manner.\nPrepare customer’s entrees in a timely manner and have what they need to enjoy their dining experience.\nPrep ingredients to ensure fully stocked and prepared kitchen.\nPractice established safety and sanitation procedures for food handling and preparation. \nFollow all recipes accurately and in accordance with established production guidelines.\nComplete all assigned production tasks in a timely manner.\nKeep work space neat and sanitary. Follow proper procedures in cleaning kitchen at end of shift.\nFollow established, storage, handling and labeling procedures and guidelines.\nHandle customer questions and complaints.\nFollow safety guidelines in regards to lifting, knife handling, equipment operation, etc.\nFollow proper procedures in opening, closing, and maintaining all café areas.\nOrder product from vendors and central kitchen to ensure department if fully stocked, while keeping inventory to a minimum.\nReceive and stock orders. Check condition of product and invoice accuracy for all deliveries. Ensure correct product rotation.\nAssist in inventory control including: accurate recording of losses, markdowns, and transfers.\nMaintain a clean and organized backstock area remembering to rotate.\nAdvise café manager of equipment repair/replacement needs.\nBackup café counter staff when needed and perform all duties included on café counter staff job description.\nAttend department meetings as scheduled.\nPerform all duties included in department clerk job descriptions.\nPersonnel\nDelegate duties to café staff and ensure they are always busy.\nPositively encourage department staff to excel at their job.\nReplace vacant shifts when call ins, etc. occur. Notify manager of these occurrences.\nAssist in training department staff.\nAssist café staff in following department standard operating procedures.\n3.
