To ensure a clean, neat, and attractive appearance of café area.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT: Fast paced retail floor and kitchen. Work near moving mechanical parts (i.e. coffee/juice machines, slicer) and in cold/hot climate conditions (i.e. cooler or near stove). Ability to work in moderate and loud noise environments including, but not limited to: computers, paging, telephones, human voices, and machinery. Position requires working during busy retail times, which include weekends, afternoons, and evenings.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:\n1. Customer Service\nTreat people fairly, consistently, and with respect.\nEnsure efficient, informative, and friendly service according to established customer service vision and standards.\n2. Café Department Responsibilities\nGreet customers at counter and assist them in a timely manner.\nHandle customer question and complaints.\nPromptly serve customer’s orders and check for and ensure customer satisfaction.\nCheck out customer’s purchases quickly and accurately, using correct prices, codes and departments.\nProvide samples and information of the products sold in the department.\nFollow proper procedures in opening, closing, and maintaining all café areas including: deli station, bakery case, beverage station, and seating area. \nEnsure areas are kept clean and organized.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and rotated backstock.\nFollow sanitation guidelines with regards to food handling, serving, and storing.\nStock service items, including china, paper products, packaging products, and miscellaneous items. \nAdvise café manager of equipment repair / replacement needs.\nFollow safety guidelines in regards to lifting, knife handling, equipment operation, etc.\nPrep ingredients for production.\nBackup café kitchen staff when needed.\nAttend department meetings as scheduled.\n3.
