This position will focus on modeling and simulation, lethality and effectiveness analysis, systems analysis, and related technical disciplines.\nThe ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in solving complex technical challenges, developing advanced analytical approaches, and providing technical leadership and expertise. The Chief Scientist will contribute to the development of innovative solutions, support technical decision-making, and help advance Outpost's technical capabilities.\nThe posted compensation range represents the expected pay range for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation may be higher or lower than the stated range based on factors such as relevant experience, education, certifications, specialized expertise, geographic considerations, market conditions, and alignment with internal compensation structures and government contracting requirements.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nLead advanced modeling, simulation, and analytical efforts supporting defense and aerospace applications.\nConduct lethality, effectiveness, and systems performance analyses.\nDevelop, evaluate, and validate analytical models, methodologies, and simulation tools.\nProvide technical expertise and recommendations to internal teams and external customers.\nSupport technical planning, problem-solving, and execution of complex engineering efforts.\nPrepare and present technical findings, reports, and recommendations.\nContribute to technical proposals, business development, and capability development efforts.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.\nBasic Qualifications:\nPhD in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a closely related technical discipline.\nExtensive professional experience in defense, aerospace, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, or related technical fields.\nDemonstrated expertise in lethality analysis, effectiveness analysis, and/or advanced modeling and simulation.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.\nExperience supporting Department of Defense programs or customers.\nU.S. citizenship.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n20+ years of relevant technical experience.\nRecognized subject matter expertise in modeling and simulation, lethality analysis, or related defense applications.\nExperience developing advanced analytical methodologies and simulation capabilities.\nExperience providing technical leadership on complex defense programs.\nExperience supporting technical proposals, customer engagements, and new business opportunities.\nActive U.S. Government security clearance.\nBenefits\nHealth Insurance\nDental Insurance\nVision Insurance\nLife Insurance\n401(k) Matching\nPaid Time Off\nComp Time Plan\nPaid Parental Leave\nTuition Reimbursement\nOutpost Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a proud U.S. Government contractor.
