This is a generalist role with a genuine opportunity to work on agentic systems and AI-assisted workflows, not a niche ML position.\nWe're a small team competing against much larger ones, and we expect engineers to use AI tools aggressively - LLMs for code generation, debugging, documentation, and ideation. We don't care how much of the code an AI wrote. We care that you ship fast, that you understand everything you ship, and that it works. If you're not already using Cursor, Copilot, Claude, or similar tools as a core part of your workflow, this probably isn't the right fit.\nProject Details:\nShip complete, production-ready features end-to-end: backend APIs, frontend UI, database schema, and tests.\n\nBuild and improve internal AI-powered developer tools - things like automated bug triage, code generation assistants, and agentic workflows that help the team move faster.\n\nIntegrate LLM APIs and agentic patterns (tool use, multi-step reasoning, prompt pipelines) into product features and internal systems.\n\nOwn and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and developer infrastructure to keep the team shipping safely and quickly.\n\nParticipate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and contribute to engineering standards on a small, collaborative team.\n\nDebug and resolve production issues across the stack, including working with GCP services and containerized workloads.\n\nQualifications:\n3-6 years of professional software engineering experience shipping production software.\n\nStrong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js and/or Python - comfortable on both backend and frontend.\n\nExperience with React and modern frontend frameworks (Next.js preferred).\n\nSolid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and API design (REST or GraphQL).\n\nPractical experience building with LLM APIs - you’ve shipped something with them, not just experimented.\n\nWorking knowledge of Git workflows, Docker, and containerized environments.\n\nStrong communication skills in English - you write clearly and engage well async.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with agentic architectures: tool use, agent loops, multi-step LLM pipelines, or frameworks like LangGraph or CrewAI.\n\nCI/CD experience: GitHub Actions, deployment pipelines, environment management, or infrastructure-as-code.\n\nFamiliarity with GCP (Cloud Run, GCS, Pub/Sub, BigQuery) or similar cloud platforms.\n\nExperience with RAG systems, vector search, or embedding pipelines.\n\nBackground working alongside ML or data engineering teams.\n\nPrior experience working in a remote, async-first environment with a US-based team.\n\nOur Stack:\nTypeScript / Node.js · Next.js · React · Apollo Server · Express · PostgreSQL · GCP · Docker · Python (ML/data workloads).
