Maintain well stocked, organized, attractive, and clean grocery shelves, displays, and aisles.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT: Fast paced retail floor. Regular work near moving mechanical parts (i.e. baler, dock equipment), in high precarious places (i.e. ladder work), and in cold climate conditions (i.e. dairy cooler, freezer). Ability to work in moderate and loud noise environments including, but not limited to: paging, telephones, human voices, and machinery. Position requires working during busy retail times, which include weekends, afternoons, and evenings.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:\n1. Customer Service\nTreat people fairly, consistently, and with respect.\nEnsure efficient, informative, and friendly service according to established customer service vision and standards.\n2. Grocery Department Responsibilities\nHandle customer questions and complaints.\nBe knowledgeable of products to make recommendations to customers.\nStock deliveries in a timely manner.\nStock products from backstock to ensure rotated product.\nPut remaining product away in backstock areas.\nRecord credits, losses, and transfers.\nFront and face products.\nClean displays and fixtures.\nPut up and maintain shelf labels and signs.\nSet up endcaps, shippers, and other special displays.\nMaintain proper product shelf space. \nAdvise grocery manager of equipment / replacement needs.\nFollow safety guidelines in regards to lifting, cutting equipment, baler, pallet jack operation, etc.\nAssist in quarterly inventory and shelf resets.\nAttend department meetings as scheduled.\n3.
