We are teamed with the most passionate companies in industry, dedicated to bringing best-of-breed capabilities to address our customers’ most pressing needs.\nWe are seeking a Software Engineer with strong C++ and Unreal Engine skills and an interest in people management to work on the FORGE MDPAP program as part of the Visualization subsystem team.\nPosition is on-site in Boulder, CO 5 days per week.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nDesign, implement, and maintain high-quality software aligned with program and project objectives.\nWork independently and collaboratively with the development team to deliver complex features end to end.\nContribute to containerized, distributed microservice architectures, including development, deployment, and testing.\nRequired Skills & Experience \nThis position requires an active Interim DoD Secret Clearance. Clearance required: Active DoD Secret. Due to the clearance requirement, U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidate must also participate in a background screen.\n5+ years of professional hands-on experience as a Software Engineer using C++.\nProficient in Unreal Engine, including language features and best practices.\nProfessional experience working in Linux environments.\nAbility to work onsite in Boulder, CO 5 days per week.\nStrong problem-solving, collaboration, communication and attention to detail skills.\nDesired Skills & Experience \nFamiliarity with other programming languages such as Python or Javascript/Typescript\nExperience with or interest in people management (up to 5 direct reports).\nExperience with Agile software development methodology and tools such as Jira and Confluence.\nFamiliarity with Gitlab, Gitlab Runner, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm Charts.\nDomain experience with remote sensing systems or ground architectures, especially experience with OPIR sensor processing.\nExperience working on “badge-less” engineering teams on a large National security contract.\nApplication Deadline: November 30, 2026\nThe SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
