This is a 6-month contract.\n\nThe role will focus on:\n\n Pricing and actuarial processing infrastructure\n\n Actuarial operations\n\n AI and intelligent automation\n\n Data pipelines and ETL processes\n\n Data reporting and analytics enablement\n\n Operational data management and governance\n\nThis is a hybrid actuarial and technical role that combines actuarial judgement with strong operational delivery, technical enablement, and stakeholder engagement. The incumbent will serve as a key link between actuarial operations, business stakeholders, and Information Technology (IT), helping to build, maintain, govern, and enhance robust actuarial and operational processing infrastructure across the business.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\nKey Result Areas\n\n1. Pricing and Actuarial Processing Infrastructure\n\n Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable pricing and actuarial processing infrastructure.\n\n Improve the stability, efficiency, usability, and control of business-critical actuarial solutions.\n\n Ensure infrastructure remains robust, maintainable, auditable, and fit for purpose.\n\n2. Automation and AI Enablement\n\n Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual actuarial and business processes.\n\n Support the responsible integration of AI and intelligent automation into operational workflows.\n\n Ensure automation solutions are sustainable, controlled, and aligned with business requirements.\n\n3. Data Pipelines, ETL and Reporting Enablement\n\n Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to support pricing, actuarial operations, reporting, and analytics.\n\n Enable reliable data flow from source systems into business, actuarial, and analytical environments.\n\n Ensure data processes are repeatable, controlled, auditable, and fit for purpose.\n\n4. Solution Development and Operational Delivery\n\n Translate business challenges into practical, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.\n\n Own solutions throughout the lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through to development, testing, implementation, and support.\n\n Continuously improve operational processes, automation capabilities, and processing infrastructure.\n\n5. Governance, Risk and Control\n\n Ensure solutions comply with model risk, IT, data governance, and broader risk management requirements.\n\n Maintain appropriate documentation, testing standards, controls, and governance over critical infrastructure and automation solutions.\n\n Support change management, operational resilience, and sustainable control frameworks across key actuarial processes.\n\n6. Stakeholder and Project Management\n\n Act as a key liaison between actuarial teams, business stakeholders, operational teams, and IT.\n\n Support the delivery of strategic and operational initiatives across pricing, data, automation, and actuarial infrastructure.\n\n Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.\n\n Drive initiatives from requirements definition through to implementation, adoption, and handover.\n\nDesired Experience & Qualification\nEssential\n\n Actuarial student making good progress with professional actuarial examinations.\n\n Exceptional candidates from a relevant technical or analytical background may be considered even if they are not pursuing actuarial qualifications.\n\n Minimum of 4 years' relevant work experience.\n\nAdvantageous\n\n Experience within an actuarial operations, pricing operations, technical enablement, business intelligence, data engineering, or business solutioning environment.\n\nTechnical Skills\n\nEssential\n\n Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365.\n\n Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VBA and Power Query.\n\n Solid software development skills in Python and/or C#.\n\n Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern software deployment practices.\n\nAdvantageous\n\n Experience with, or strong interest in, the Microsoft Power Platform, particularly:\n\n Power Automate\n\n Power BI\n\n Copilot Studio\n\n Exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly:\n\n Amazon S3\n\n Amazon Redshift\n\n Related cloud and data management services\n\nKey Competencies\n\n Analytical and problem-solving ability\n\n Strong technical aptitude\n\n Process improvement mindset\n\n Stakeholder engagement and relationship
