You’ll own the implementation of several smaller smoothed bonus fund proposals and design and run interim manual guarantee processes. You’ll also support a fund migration programme, from planning through to post-migration stabilisation. You’ll work closely with Product, Servicing, Administration, Operations, IT, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Marketing. Together you’ll turn agreed proposals into workable processes and hand them over to BAU.\n\nThis is a hybrid, full-time contract based in Cape Town, starting in early November. It suits a delivery-focused professional with a strong actuarial or financial background who moves easily between analysis and execution. Some solutions will start as manual processes until system development is available. You’ll need to make those processes controlled, documented, repeatable and ready to hand over to BAU.\n\nWhat you’ll be doing\n\n Implement the identified smaller smoothed bonus proposals, from agreed design through to a live process\n\n Design, build and run interim manual guarantee processes, including robust spreadsheet tools and supporting documentation\n\n Run process dry runs and agree clear BAU ownership\n\n Coordinate customer communication activities with the relevant business teams\n\n Help meet the requirements for a fund merger and support system guarantee corrections for the affected funds\n\n Map and coordinate pre-migration, migration and post-migration activities across affected funds\n\n Support migration and regression testing, readiness assessments and issue resolution\n\n Provide post-migration support and help stabilise processes after implementation\n\n Add capacity for BAU product and operational activities, including managing smoothed bonus funds\n\n Hand implemented processes over to BAU with clear documentation and knowledge transfer\n\n Keep stakeholders across the business aligned and drive delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams\n\nWhat you need\n\n At least 5 years’ experience in financial services, preferably in life insurance\n\n A strong actuarial or financial background, meaning one of the following:\n\n a qualified actuary\n\n a finance professional with a Business Science or Actuarial Science degree\n\n Experience in product implementation, product management, business analysis or operational change\n\n Advanced, practical Excel skills, including building robust spreadsheet-based operational solutions\n\n Strong SQL and modelling experience\n\n Experience documenting and implementing business processes\n\n The ability to coordinate work across multiple teams and stakeholders\n\n Strong planning, problem-solving and delivery skills\n\n Comfort with both technical product content and operational implementation\n\n The ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables\n\n Strong written and verbal communication skills\n\nDesired Experience & Qualification\n\n Experience with smoothed bonus or guaranteed investment products\n\n Knowledge of guarantee-related processes in retirement fund or insurance products\n\n Experience with administration platform
