Assistant Administration & Accounting

We are looking for an accurate, reliable, and trustworthy Assistant Administration & Accounting to support the company’s daily cash administration, inventory controls, receipt of new inventory, and other administrative activities. The position reports operationally to the Retail Supervisor or Retail Manager and administratively to the Accounting Department.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash administration, including opening and closing cash drawers, daily sales, and foreign currency.
• Ensure stores have sufficient petty cash available.
• Prepare and coordinate daily bank deposits.
• Process small local invoice payments.
• Manage cash receipts and paid invoices and post them after management approval.
• Monitor outstanding debtor accounts and payment deadlines.
• Coordinate the receipt of payments with the Accounting Department.
• Immediately report cash differences, errors, or irregularities to the Supervisor and Management.
• Conduct the monthly cash count.
• Assist with inventory controls and the receipt of new inventory.
• Perform Retail Assistant duties when required.
• Follow all applicable company policies and procedures.
• Carry out other reasonable administrative duties related to the position.

Job Requirements

• Completed intermediate vocational education, such as MBO, in Financial Administration or a comparable field, or an equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Accurate and detail-oriented.
• Discreet, reliable, and trustworthy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Proficient in Papiamento, Dutch, and English.
• Able to work independently.
