This role guides participants from initial inquiry through service approval. The Intake Specialist provides education on Self-Direction options, gathers and reviews required documentation, submits materials to OPWDD, and tracks progress. Upon initial budget approval, the Intake Specialist transitions the individual to their assigned OPWDD Coordinator.\nKey responsibilities include:\nServe as the primary point of contact for individuals seeking Self-Direction services\nEducate individuals and families on program options, budget categories, and enrollment procedures\nMeet with participants to assess needs and goals, determining program fit\nGather, review, and ensure completeness and accuracy of startup and initial budget documentation\nSubmit required materials to OPWDD and follow up on outstanding items\nMaintain accurate case records in Enterprise and Evero systems\nTrack application status, approvals, and follow-up actions to ensure timely processing\nCoordinate with brokers, OPWDD, and internal teams throughout the intake workflow\nAddress intake questions and escalate complex issues as needed\nTransition approved individuals to the assigned OPWDD Coordinator with complete documentation and case information\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications:\nEnglish proficiency at C1 level\nLegal authorization to work in the Dominican Republic\nAvailable to work during U.S. Eastern Time business hours\nAbility to multitask and manage multiple intake cases simultaneously\nStrong organizational skills for managing documentation, deadlines, and follow-ups\nExceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and completing intake and budget documentation\nPreferred Qualifications:\nWorking proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)\nPrior knowledge of OPWDD/Self-Direction or similar disability services programs\nExperience in a customer-facing role communicating with clients/customers and their families\nExperience coordinating with
