This role offers the opportunity to mentor engineering talent and shape the future of our production operations at scale.\nKey Responsibilities\nArchitect and standardize SLO/SLI frameworks and error-budget policies across multiple engineering groups.\nLead the design and rollout of secure, scalable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud-native Kubernetes environments.\nDrive observability strategy by evaluating, implementing, and optimizing telemetry solutions across distributed systems.\nLead incident response during critical system events, facilitating blameless post-incident reviews and driving systemic mitigation strategies.\nBuild core automation frameworks and platform tools (in Python or Go) that eliminate operational friction and enforce security compliance automatically.\nMentor and advise software and reliability engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and engineering quality.\nMust-Have Requirements\n Demonstrated Experience: 5+ years of experience (or equivalent demonstrated capability) managing high-throughput distributed systems and cloud infrastructure at scale.\n Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Kubernetes, Linux internals, cloud networking, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, AWS).\n Software Engineering: Strong proficiency in high-level programming languages (Python or Go) for building automation tools and system integrations.\nIncident & Reliability Leadership: Proven track record leading incident response, blameless post-mortems, and root-cause prevention across complex architectures.\n Education & Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nNice-to-Have Requirements\nProfessional certifications in Kubernetes (CKA, CKS) or cloud providers (AWS Solutions Architect).\nSolid understanding of compliance and security frameworks (SOC 2, CIS benchmarks) embedded directly into CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience leveraging Gen AI tools to accelerate development workflows and diagnostic automation.\nMore about OutSystems\nOutSystems is a leading AI Development Platform built for the enterprise.
