This role will also oversee accounts payable, invoice and vendor management, as well as balance sheet and payroll reconciliations. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.\nResponsibilities\nOwn the monthly reconciliation of all bank and credit card accounts across all locations, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.\nPerform day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including recording transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records in QuickBooks.\nManage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including entering and coding vendor invoices and routing invoices for approval.\nMaintain accurate vendor records and W-9s and serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries.\nReconcile vendor balances and statements to the accounts payable subledger, researching and resolving discrepancies with vendors.\nSupport the Controller in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger and accounts payable activities.\nLead and perform the monthly financial close process, including preparing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and maintaining close checklists.\nPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.\nMaintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.\nAssist in developing, maintaining, and distributing financial reports, dashboards, and KPI reports.\nAssist with payroll processing, including entering new hires, pay rate changes, and hours, and reviewing payroll for accuracy prior to submission in coordination with the Controller and Human Resources.\nSupport payroll tax compliance and payroll-related reporting in coordination with the Controller and Human Resources.\nAssist with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.\nHelp establish, document, and maintain internal financial controls, policies, and procedures, particularly related to cash management and reconciliations.\nSupport external audits, tax filings, and financial reviews by preparing schedules and required documentation.\nIdentify and help implement opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting infrastructure as Apollo Behavior continues to expand across new clinic locations.\nPerform other duties as assigned by the Controller.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.\nAt least 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on experience with bank and credit card reconciliations, monthly close, general ledger accounting, and accounts payable.\nExperience working with US-based companies is required.
