This includes cleaning resident rooms, common areas, restaurants, and administrative office areas. They perform tasks like dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, and changing linens.\nEssential Duties and Job Responsibilities\nPerform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned. \nPerform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments. \nClean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident rooms, recreational areas, etc., daily as instructed.\nClean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures. Assure that watermarks are removed from fixtures. \nClean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways. \nClean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc. \nClean carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting. \nClean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc. \nRemove dirt, dust, grease, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions. \nPerform terminal cleaning procedures, as instructed, when a resident is discharged and/or transferred to another room/area. Clean vacant rooms as assigned.\nDiscard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liner. \nAssure that work/assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times, as well as before leaving such areas for breaks, mealtimes, and end of the workday. \nAssure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner. \nAssure that established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained when performing housekeeping procedures. \nCoordinate routine/terminal isolation procedures with nursing care; a thorough cleaning and disinfection process after residents leave an isolation room, to eliminate pathogens and prevent the spread of infections. \nReport all hazardous conditions or equipment to your supervisor. \nFollow established fire safety policies and procedures. \nDispose of refuse daily in accordance with our established sanitation procedures. \nKeep work/assigned areas free of hazardous objects such as protruding mop/broom handles, unnecessary equipment, supplies, etc. \nPerform all other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nRequirements and Qualifications\nExperience with various cleaning methods and equipment. \nAbility to maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation. \nAbility to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. \nAbility to communicate with staff and follow instructions. \nAbility to work collaboratively with other staff members. \n18 years or older.\nPrefer experience working in housekeeping in a medical facility.\nMaintain tactful composure and confidentiality with residents, family members, staff and visitors.\nMust maintain and have an active CPR/BLS during employment.\nBenefits\nAt Ovation, we believe caring for others starts with caring for our own teams.
