In this role, you will be responsible for assembly and integration of electrical and mechanical components. If you are a highly motivated team player who is willing to support a fast paced team environment and a detail oriented self-starter with minimal oversight then this role is for you.\nThe Production team at Overland AI is responsible for a wide range of activities that are crucial to the manufacturing process of our next generation Autonomous Ground Vehicles including operating equipment, assembling products, performing quality control checks, and maintaining a safe work environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduct Assembly\nFollow detailed diagrams, schematics, work instructions, and written specifications to fabricate, assemble, and integrate subassemblies and components into larger, functioning systems\nUse various hand tools and power tools to build and combine components, ensuring compatibility and proper functionality between integrated parts\nPerform micro-soldering, rework, and reflow tasks\nBuild prototype models based on technical guidelines\nManage and install cables, wiring, and splicing as needed\nRead and/or create assembly work instructions and repair manuals; liaise with other departments to coordinate builds\nTesting, Troubleshooting & Quality Assurance\nInspect, analyze, and troubleshoot electronic and mechanical systems and equipment\nRun tests, interpret results, and make effective recommendations for repairs or improvements\nDiagnose and repair issues in prototypes or production models; determine material or replacement needs and execute a logical repair plan\nCreate or adapt parts as needed to improve the performance of various electronics\nEnsure all builds meet established quality standards and specifications\nPerform safety checks to confirm design plans are feasible across various conditions\nDocumentation\nMaintain detailed, accurate records of assembly processes, test results, repairs, and any modifications or issues encountered\nWrite reports and follow safety regulations and preventative maintenance plans\nProvide feedback on design or process improvements to enhance production efficiency\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with engineers and other team members to meet production goals\nFollow and contribute to safety protocols and workplace cleanliness\nMinimum Qualifications\n1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing setting (aerospace, electronics, or automotive industry is preferred) performing mechanical and/or electrical assemblies \nProficient with common hand tools and power tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, multimeters, test boxes or specialized test equipment \nProficient with computer use (standard browser, word processing applications, MES tools) \nAble to read a wiring diagram and follow assembly instructions \nAbility to rapidly pivot focus while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment \nAbility to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with engineering and production \nDesired Qualifications & Experience\nDemonstrated experience with many aspects of automotive/off-road fabrication, repair, assembly, and operation including structural fabrication, integration, and electronics build/integration/test \nMechanically assemble complex electro-mechanical assemblies, high quality wire harnesses, test racks, and associated components involving hand soldering and component fabrication \nPerform validation and testing of various electronic components using equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and test racks \nElectronic box assembly troubleshooting, and writing detailed issue tickets for failures \nRunning functional checkouts and tests, and diagnosing issues discovered during these processes \nTroubleshoot extensively \nBasic understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles \nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Math, Hard Science, Business, etc.) \nForklift certification \nLocation:\nThis position will be located in Seattle, WA.\nCompensation & Benefits\nPay Range:\nProduction Technician I: $25.00 - $27.00/hour\nProduction Technician II: $26.50 - $33.00/hour\nProduction Technician III: $32.50 - $40.00/hour\n Actual level and compensation will bedeterminedon a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.\nOverland AI believes in creating a work environment that you look forward to embracing every day.\nEquity Compensation\nBest-in-class healthcare, dental, and vision plans \nFlexible PTO \n401k with company match \nParental leave \nOverland AI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
