Our OverDrive autonomy stack is already operating under contract with DARPA, the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, and Special Operations Command, and the problems we're solving don't have textbook answers yet.\nWe're looking for machine learning experts who want to work on perception, planning, and prediction in environments where the rules of the road literally don't exist.\nExperienced, well-qualified remote candidates able to work during Pacific Time Zone business hours will be considered.\nIn this role, you will:\nDesign, prototype, and deploy machine learning algorithms related to perception, state estimation, and behavior planning (Python).\nIdentify, implement, and respond to meaningful metrics that affect vehicle behavior.\nServe as a technical expert for the team balancing short-term deliverables and long-term directions.\nCollaborate closely with experts across disciplines to work across the entire stack to improve the reliability and performance of the system.\nQualifications\nMS/PhD with publications in top-tier ML/CV venues (ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV), OR equivalent years of industry experience in an applied research setting working on multi-year problems.\nExpert in a relevant ML topic such as sequential prediction, structured prediction, inverse reinforcement learning, transformers, deep learning optimization, etc.\nExcellent linear algebra, probability theory, and optimization knowledge.\nExtensive experience in Python and a deep learning framework such as Pytorch, JAX, Tensorflow, etc.\nYou excel in a small-team atmosphere, taking ownership of problems and working with your colleagues to solve problems across disciplines. \nBenefits\nOverland AI believes in creating a work environment that you look forward to embracing every day.\nThe salary range for this position is $120K to $300K annually\nEquity compensation\nBest-in-class healthcare, dental and vision plans. \nFlexible PTO\n401k with company match\nParental leave\nOverland AI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
