Backed by eight-figure contracts across the Department of Defense, we are strengthening national security by iterating closely with end users engaged in tactical operations.\nRole Summary\nWe are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - UI for our mission-critical command-and-control (C2) interface for autonomous ground vehicles. This role combines hands-on frontend development building highly reliable, performant UIs used in real-world operational environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable making architectural trade-offs, collaborating across disciplines, and iterating quickly based on direct user feedback from the field.\nIn this role, you will:\nDevelop a cutting-edge command-and- control (C2) interface for autonomous ground vehicles.\nRemain hands-on in the codebase, contributing to core UI features, architectural components, and critical bug fixes.\nPartner closely with UX designers to translate design systems into high-quality, production-ready implementations.\nCollaborate with product managers to shape requirements and break work into clear, deliverable milestones.\nGet into the field to observe real users operating the system in training and operational environments, rapidly iterating and experimenting based on end-user needs.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline and 3+ years relevant professional experience; OR 5+ years of relevant professional experience.\nExperience with React and TypeScript.\nDesired Experience & Qualifications:\nExperience with different frontend development languages and frameworks.\nFamiliarity integrating with a variety of backend APIs.\nExperience working with multiple communication protocols; prior experience with MQTT is strongly preferred.\nPrior experience with ATAK/TAK is strongly preferred\nBenefits\nOverland AI believes in creating a work environment that you look forward to embracing every day.\nThe salary range for this position is $180K to $230K annually\nEquity compensation\nBest-in-class healthcare, dental and vision plans. \nFlexible PTO\n401k with company match\nParental leave\nOverland AI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
