The role expects significant software engineering knowledge in complex UI and server-side applications, including new feature work, improvements on existing code, and active participation in designing and shipping the product.\nTo be successful at Oversight, you should be able to:\nContribute to the design and development of new product features\nTranslate business requirements into software design documents. Ensure application meets functional, performance, and technical requirements\nWork closely with development leads, and other developers to ensure proper implementation\nEffectively share technical information and train/mentor team members\nEstablish a very high standard for quality and insure that this standard is consistently met\nWork in a fast-paced team environment to complete multiple projects simultaneously according to business and technical requirements\nSkills\nExperience in software product development, preferably at a software vendor\n1-2 years of hands-on full-stack development experience designing, building and supporting high-performing applications using Java and TypeScript, including Java server technologies, J2EE applications and Web Services\nStrong programming skills in Python, Java, and TypeScript\nStrong debugging/diagnostic skills including identifying and resolving performance issues\nExperience in modern web application development \nExperience using AI tools such as Cursor, Codex, or Claude Code to develop software\nProficiency developing software products that access relational databases and data platforms such as Postgres and Databricks\nAbility to create and understand complex SQL statements\nProficiency with Linux or other Unix command line interface\nExperience with cloud environments;
