You’ll work closely with customers and machine builders on-site and collaborate with the Product Team at our Taipei office.\n\nWhat you’ll own\nMechanical integration\nOwn the mechanical integration of camera + lens + lighting into customer automation machines:\nmounting design, stability, alignment, adjustability, service access, environmental protection, cable routing/strain relief\n\nReview machine builder CAD (2D/3D) and sign off on designs that meet Overview.ai integration standards.\n\nProvide direct, practical feedback to machine builders to improve designs before metal is cut:\nreduce vibration sensitivity, protect optics, ensure repeatable alignment, avoid thermal drift, improve maintainability\n\nSpecify integration requirements and best practices:\nmounting interfaces, bracket designs, tolerances, datum strategy, access clearances, protective enclosures, contamination management\n\nAnticipate long-term failure modes and design them out:\nloosening fasteners, wear points, cable fatigue, lens contamination, shock/vibration, misalignment, fixture flex\n\nOwn commissioning readiness: ensure mechanical design supports stable triggering, repeatable imaging, and rapid service.\n\nField applications engineering (production outcomes)\nSupport new line deployments and maintain/optimize systems already installed at customer sites.\n\nDiagnose issues that look “AI” but are actually mechanical/system integration problems:\nintermittent image quality, drift over time, vibration blur, occlusion, part presentation variability, contamination\n\nTrain customer teams and machine builders on integration best practices and basic troubleshooting.\n\nDocument field learnings and turn them into repeatable standards, checklists, and reference designs.\n\nWho you are Required\nStrong mechanical/systems integration background in automation equipment or industrial machines\n\nAbility to read and review machine design CAD and provide actionable design feedback (SolidWorks/Creo/AutoCAD or similar)\n\nExperience integrating components into machines with attention to:\ntolerances, alignment, vibration, serviceability, cabling, environmental protection, repeatability\n\nComfort in factory environments: commissioning, troubleshooting, and working hands-on\n\nWillingness and ability to be based in Taipei, with regular travel to customer sites across Taiwan.\n\nMandarin fluency (native or near-native)\n\nWorking English for technical collaboration with global teams\n\nHigh ownership mindset: you take problems personally and drive them to closure\n\nStrong preferences\nExperience with high-volume manufacturing lines (electronics, automotive, connectors, battery, packaging, assembly)\n\nExperience working with machine builders/integrators and managing design iteration loops\n\nComfort partnering with controls engineers on timing/triggering and line sequencing constraints\n\nWhyOverview.ai (why top candidates join)\nExtreme growth + real-world impact: We’re not building demos.
