Hardware is received, tested, kitted, and shipped from here to customers across Asia. As we build out our China entities and grow the team across Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, we need a hands-on owner of the HR and admin foundation, from entity setup to daily operations. This is a single-seat role with real authority over how Overview runs in China. You will report initially into our Head of Global Recruiting and then after a few months, our Global HR Operations & Compliance Lead.\nWHY THIS ROLE IS EXCITING\nBuild, not maintain: You set up the entities, policies, and processes a growing China operation runs on.\n\nBreadth: Cross-office scope across three locations, spanning HR, global mobility, facilities, and workspace projects.\n\nGlobal exposure: You work daily with international colleagues across a company deploying in factories worldwide.\n\nOwnership: You are the go-to person for how the China offices run.\n\nWHAT YOU’LL OWN\nEntity setup: Own HR setup for new China entities, including registration support, employment structure, and local compliance.\n\nOnboarding and global mobility: Employment documents, onboarding and orientation, work permits, visas, relocation, and cross-office transfers.\n\nEmployee records: Personnel files, contracts, attendance, and leave records, kept accurate and current.\n\nPayroll coordination: Compile and verify attendance, overtime, and leave data for timely, accurate salary processing.\n\nHR policy: Implement, communicate, and update policies, procedures, and employee guidelines.\n\nEmployee relations and engagement: First point of contact for employee questions and workplace concerns; organize team-building.\n\nOffice, facilities, and workspace: Maintenance, equipment, assets, and admin expenses across Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, plus office relocation and renovation projects.\n\nTravel and business tools: Administer Ctrip Business and Didi Business, including access, usage monitoring, vendor coordination, and cost tracking.\n\nWHO YOU ARE\nRequired\n5+ years in HR and office administration.\n\nStrong working knowledge of China labor law and regulations.\n\nHas owned China entity setup and HR onboarding for US-based or international companies.\n\nDiploma or bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.\n\nProfessional English, written and verbal, for daily work with international colleagues and external partners.\n\nRuns multiple priorities independently with strong organization and attention to detail.\n\nHandles confidential information with discretion; proficient in Microsoft Office.\n\nStrong Preferences\nFamiliarity with labor law across Southeast Asia.\n\nWHYOVERVIEW.AI\nExtreme growth and real-world impact: We’re not building demos.
