Deploying, updating, monitoring and supporting cameras at that scale needs real products, not scripts and shared drives.\nWe are looking for a Senior Lead Full Stack Python Engineer to lead our Internal Tools team and own the products that make deploying thousands of AI cameras globally repeatable and reliable. You will take over OV Pro Tools, a suite of services that already runs in customer plants today: OV Vault (data storage), OV Fleet (fleet monitoring), OV Train (GPU-accelerated training) and OV Hub (Git-based recipe versioning and sharing). Your job is to turn these into one coherent platform, decide what gets built next and ship it.\nThis is a hands-on lead role. You will spend most of your time building, from React and TypeScript interfaces down to the Python services behind them, while leading a small team (one engineer today, more as we deploy more systems around the world) and setting the technical direction. You will also work on the frontier: LLM-powered assistants and agent builders that sit on top of our vision system.\nAbout half your time will be spent in China, in the factories where our cameras run at scale (Nantong, Haiyan, Shenzhen and others), deploying, supporting and learning from the people who use the tools every day. The rest is product development from our Taipei base, working closely with the R&D team there.\nYou will operate with high autonomy: you pick the approach, ship quickly and iterate with real users.\nWhat you'll do\nLead the Internal Tools team. Set the roadmap, priorities and engineering standards for the team. Mentor and grow the engineers on it, run planning and reviews, and hire as the scope grows. Stay hands-on: you ship code every week.\n\nBuild the fleet deployment platform. Own the products that let us and our customers deploy, configure, update and monitor thousands of cameras across many sites: device management, recipe versioning and distribution, staged and canary updates with rollback, fleet health monitoring and alerting, telemetry and log tooling.\n\nOwn the OV Pro Tools suite end to end. Scale OV Vault, OV Fleet, OV Train and OV Hub from working v1 services into a reliable, modular platform that can be deployed independently or as a suite, including in air-gapped factory networks with no internet access.\n\nBuild GenAI applications. Design and ship LLM-powered tools that make monitoring and deploying large fleets of cameras easier.\n\nFull-stack web tools. Own tools end to end, from React/TypeScript frontends to Python backends, APIs and MCP servers.\n\nIntegrate with the edge-AI stack. Connect the tools to the camera fleet, inference outputs, recipes and firmware so they work against real inspection data, not toy examples.\n\n0 to 1 product building. Prototype quickly, get tools in front of users, and iterate. Turn rough ideas into shipped products, then sharpen them based on real usage.\n\nDeploy and support in the field. Travel to customer factories in China for installations, upgrades and critical support. Train customer teams, troubleshoot integrations with existing factory systems, and bring what you learn back into the product.\n\nQuality and craft. Sweat performance, reliability and UX. These tools are how customers and colleagues experience Overview; they should feel fast, clear and trustworthy. Code quality needs to be pristine: we use agents to write code, but you understand and own the final design and solution.\n\nWhat we're looking for\n7+ years building full-stack web applications, with a proven track record of shipping products end to end at a Senior, Staff or Lead level.\n\nExperience leading engineers, formally or as a tech lead: setting direction, reviewing work, growing people, while staying hands-on.\n\nExpert-level Python for backend services, APIs and data/tooling work (FastAPI, Django or Flask).\n\nStrong proficiency in React and TypeScript for building modern, polished web interfaces.\n\nExperience designing and running distributed or fleet-scale systems: device management, over-the-air or staged updates, monitoring and alerting, offline-first or air-gapped deployments.\n\nExperience building LLM-powered or GenAI product features (LLM APIs, prompt engineering, MCP, agent workflows), or a strong passion and demonstrated aptitude for it.\n\nProfessional experience using AI agent tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot and similar) to architect solutions and solve difficult problems efficiently.\n\nSolid Docker, Git, CI/CD and cloud deployment experience.\n\nA product mindset: you care about the user, make good judgment calls under ambiguity, and can drive a tool from idea to shipped without a detailed spec.\n\nFluent English and fluent Mandarin, both written and spoken.
