This role sits at the intersection of data analytics and procurement - the ideal candidate is proficient across the full data lifecycle (with a specific focus on procurement-related data), from raw data ingestion and cleansing to building dashboards, automating reporting pipelines, and delivering strategic business insights.\nTechnical depth alone is not enough for this role. We are looking for someone who understands the procurement and sourcing world, can work closely with category managers and sourcing leads, and is confident turning complex data into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\n1. Technical Analytics Skills - Data Handling, Modelling & Reporting\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows for structured and semi-structured procurement data\nPerform thorough data profiling, deduplication, normalization, and transformation to ensure data integrity across all sources\nWrite complex SQL queries (joins, subqueries, window functions, CTEs, stored procedures) to extract and analyse large datasets\nUse Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn) for data wrangling, analysis, automation, and visualization - scripting repetitive reporting and reconciliation tasks\nBuild advanced Excel models using VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, array formulas, and VBA macros; automate transformation workflows in Power Query (M language)\nDevelop interactive dashboards, KPI scorecards, and spend reports using Power BI (DAX) or Tableau\nDeliver ad-hoc analysis, variance reports, trend identification, and regular performance summaries to leadership\n2. Procurement & Commercial Knowledge - Sourcing Concepts, Cost Drivers & Supplier Strategy\n\nSupport sourcing teams with data and analytics throughout the sourcing lifecycle - from market analysis and supplier shortlisting through to bid evaluation and award\nBuild and maintain spend analysis models, category dashboards, and supplier performance trackers\nAnalyse cost drivers, pricing trends, and should-cost data to support negotiation strategies and cost reduction initiatives\nProvide data-backed insights on supplier segmentation, risk exposure, contract compliance, and savings delivery\nWork with procurement data from ERP and P2P systems (SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa) - understanding PR, PO, GRN, and invoice workflows\nSupport category managers with benchmarking data, market intelligence analysis, and RFx scoring analytics\nTrack and report on supply chain KPIs - on-time delivery, lead times, vendor scorecards, and budget vs. actuals\n3. Business Influence Skills - Communication, Recommendations & Stakeholder Engagement\n\nTranslate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders\nBuild compelling data narratives and presentations for leadership reviews, steering committees, and category strategy sessions\nProactively identify savings opportunities, risks, and anomalies through data - and confidently present recommendations\nPartner closely with procurement, finance, and operations teams to define data requirements and prioritise analytics workstreams\nManage multiple stakeholder requests simultaneously, setting clear expectations and delivering to agreed timelines\n.\nSUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\n\nMaintain documentation of data sources, transformation logic, and reporting definitions to support data governance\nContribute to the continuous improvement of analytics tools, templates, and processes within the COE\nSupport onboarding and knowledge-sharing with junior analysts as the team grows\nStay current with developments in data analytics tools, procurement technology, and best practices\nQualifications\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\n\nBachelor’s or master’s degree\n5-8 years of proven experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a reporting function\nDemonstrated hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Advanced Excel / Power Query, and at least one BI tool (Power BI or Tableau)\nExperience working with procurement, supply chain, or commercial datasets is strongly preferred\nExposure to ERP or P2P platforms (SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa) is an advantage\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\n\nStrong attention to data accuracy and quality - a methodical approach to validating outputs before sharing\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills - able to present data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences\nSelf-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment\nCollaborative team player who builds strong working relationships across functions\nA genuine curiosity for understanding business context behind the data, not just reporting numbers\nTraining: \n\nMicrosoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI) - preferred\nGoogle Data Analytics Professional Certificate - preferred\nSQL or Python certification from any recognised platform - preferred\nAny procurement or supply chain qualification (e.g. CIPS foundation level or equivalent) is a bonus but not required\nIf you feel this opportunity could be the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply.
