For internal teammates, a compensation percentage increase will be reviewed and determined in partnership with HR, taking into consideration internal equity and relevant experience.\nJob Summary\nThis position will perform Nonwoven Material Development & Sustaining activities related to the O&M Global Products & Healthcare Services Portfolio. This position will require candidate to be well versed in Spunbond and Meltblown processes and related materials to meet demand from external customers. Role will require assessment of customer needs and capabilities of the manufacturing facility to produce sample materials for customer evaluation. Requires collaboration with technical and engineering teams to schedule and support machine trials to produce sample materials. Also responsible for statistical analysis of test data for internal as well as customer communications. The job requires working collaboratively with cross functional teams including Marketing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Product Supply.\nCore Responsibilities\nTypically leads workstreams of more complex projects or is the primary leader for mid-size to large projects\n\nWorks independently with minimal level of guidance from more senior engineers and management\n\nUnderstands a wide range of technical principles, theories and techniques applied to design and manufacturing; incorporates leading-edge thinking into projects and plans\n\nDeals with change and ambiguity on projects by proposing options that result in potential solutions\n\nMakes technical decisions with minimal assistance; seeks assistance as appropriate from Team Leader or senior members of the team.\n\nConsistent ability to make sound decisions under pressure while aligning with cross-functional team members\n\nDemonstrates experience in executing product changes regulated by design control; can translate customer requirements into validatable market requirements and verifiable product requirements; interacts with clinicians to gain feedback on existing products and identify possible improvements\n\nProvide mentoring and work direction to lower level engineers\n\nCoaches peers to improve their skills and outcomes within R&D in a specific area of expertise; may supervise/lead technicians, co-ops or interns.\n\nDocuments work appropriately within defined procedures\n\nReviews test protocols and reports for accuracy and completeness and at times generates and analyzes test data and reports to determine if designs meet functional and performance specifications\n\nCreate and document intellectual property according to established company procedures\n\nDevelops effective schedules with collaboration from cross-functional team and management; independently follows agreed upon path/strategy/prioritywith minimal follow up or direction; independently makes decisions; obtains appropriate buy-in and ownership of tasks from other groups as needed; plans tasks that have multiple variables and are not well defined and drives necessary decisions\n\nWhen changes result in significant conflicts at a cross-functional team level, develops options and team recommendation for alignment; secures management support for the resolution\n\nQualifying Experience\nBachelor's degree in Engineering or Science related field.\n\n10 years’ experience or equivalent balance of Education/Experience\n\nThe candidate should have strong projectmanagement, analytical, andcommunication skills, along with the ability to work well witha diverse group of teammates\n\nAdvanced understanding of statistical analysis tools and software\n\nPrevious industry experience working with nonwovens process’s related to Spunbond and Meltblown materials.\n\nExperience supporting marketing/sales of nonwoven materials or finished products\n\nKnowledge of Quality System Regulations (Design Control and Process Validation) compliant with the FDA and other regulatory agencies\n\nPrevious experience resolving technical issues and implementing solutions\n\nAbility to interface effectively with health care professionals and non-woven customers\n\nAbility to travel both domestically and internationally (must have the ability to obtain a passport) Less than 25%.\n\nIf you feel this opportunity could be the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply.
