This role goes beyond report production — it requires understanding the \"why\" behind a request, identifying the right data and methodology, and delivering insights that business partners can act on.\nDuties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:\nLearn and map business processes end-to-end with stakeholders to identify the KPIs that genuinely measure performance for that process, then determine what data is required to analyze both the KPI itself and the underlying factors driving its performance \nPartner with the Data Engineering and Data Science teams to translate those KPI and data requirements into validated data models — confirming the models actually deliver on the business objective identified in the step above, not just that they're technically complete\nPartner with business stakeholders to scope analytical requests, clarify objectives, and identify the right metrics and data sources before analysis begins \nCreate visualizations that provide business insights for our global customers — dashboards, cash-flow projections, histograms, projective analysis, financial analysis, KPIs, and SLA reporting \nUse SQL to independently mine data and translate business needs into clear, creative visualizations \nValidate data and reporting outputs against SAP as the source-of-truth ERP, identifying and resolving discrepancies before they reach stakeholders \nAssess data quality and flag data quality issues to the Data Warehouse team; support data governance practices \nLeverage AI tools (e.g., Copilot in Power BI, generative AI for data exploration and narrative summaries) to accelerate insight generation and surface patterns in large datasets \nDemonstrate critical thinking and sound judgment to offer thoughtful, concise input toward problem resolution \nCollaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, functional teams, and other data analysts to develop insight-driven visualizations \nSupport requirements gathering, design, deployment, and change management for reporting projects (entry-level project management) \nBuild and demo prototypes to stakeholders — peer groups, business partners, and senior leaders \nSupport and train peers/SMEs on report usage, troubleshooting, and results analysis \nDevelop leadership skills to promote ideas, coordinate work, and plan deliverables within a project team\nEducation, Skills and Abilities:\nExperience with Microsoft Power BI (required); DEX (Deployment Pipelines/Dataflows Experience) knowledge strongly preferred \nWorking knowledge of SAP as an ERP/data validation source \nEntry-level SQL proficiency for data querying and mining \nExposure to AI-assisted analytics tools (Copilot, generative AI for BI) a plus \nEntry-level experience with data analytics concepts — data dictionaries, data mapping, normalization concepts \nBasic project management and business process modeling \nMinimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or closely related field \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical issues to both technical and business audiences \nStrong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems effectively and in a timely manner\nThis opportunity offers a competitive benefits package including:\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage with wellness benefits \nCompany-matching 401(k) plan\nCompany-paid life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment benefits\nCompany-paid long-term care coverage\nCompany-paid disability\nFlexible spending and health savings accounts\nCompany-paid employee assistance program\nPaid time off and paid holidays\nAdditional benefits included: voluntary life insurance, legal benefits, critical illness, accident insurance, and pet insurance\n\nOld World Industries is among the largest privately held companies competing in the automotive aftermarket today.
