Accountable for finished goods being accurately packaged and labeled in a clean and leak proof condition.\n\nDuties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:\nSafety – The Operator will abide by all EHS policies and procedures (EHSPO001).\nEnsure that all bottles and boxes are suitable for production and match the product being run.\nAcquire a run sheet to determine what product will be made first. Maintain accurate documentation of product in production on the line you are responsible for. \nEnsure the correct boxes and bottles are available for production.\nDetermine the cap, product, and other codes required for production.\nPlace Filler into Production mode and the grams per gallon weights to specification.\nCommunicate with the blending department on using correct piping line.\nTake a sample from the filter system to the lab to ensure the product is correct.\nOnce approved, fill the bowl with product. While the bowl is being filled, enter the correct code for the coder.\nEngage all belts, both in front of the filler and behind the filler. Ensure that the conveyors are on for the packer. Ensure that the hot melt is on for the gluer and the palletizer is on and ready.\nEnsure there are enough caps and correct caps available to complete the specified number of cases.\nDuring operation, watch caps for build up or stalling, ensure pressure is set correctly for bottles to prevent overfill.\nEnsure bottles are not being misfed into the system. Ensure bottles are not stopped under the heater.\nAt the end of a Finish Cases run twenty cases need saved to drain the bowl of product.\nAt the end of the production run remove excess caps from the machine.\nBefore changeover procedures begin take the machine out of Production mode.\nEnsure that the star is aligned, and that the pins used on the heads are correctly positioned.\nThe operator will maintain the cleanliness of the work area, machine and the plant.\nEnsure current pallet tags are in place and no product damage or leaking occurs. \nResponsible for keeping the line running and operating at optimal speed and for job set ups.\nResponsible for doing all paperwork and production data recording (Safety, Production, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Daily Production Boards)\nRequired to operate a fork truck and other material handling equipment. \nMust perform duties in accordance with all plant rules and regulations.\nMust communicate all mechanical and electrical issues with Supervisor and Maintenance.\nResponsible for the overall cleanliness of the production line.\nResponsible for assisting/coaching new hires with line loading speeds and techniques to adequately meet job requirements.\nWear all required Personal Protective Equipment and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.\nWorks with line mechanic to make repairs, adjustments and improvements including when line goes down. \nPerforms miscellaneous tasks as required.\n\nEducation, Skills and Abilities:\nHigh School diploma or GED, or 1-3 years relevant experience. \nMust be a certified forklift operator.\nAbility to interact effectively with co-workers.\nUnderstand written and verbal work instructions. \nHave mechanical aptitude to operate machines responsibly in a safe and efficient manner and make minor repairs and adjustments as required. \nGood judgment and decision making, able to work independently or in team environment.\nAbility to work effectively within a union and non-union workforce\n\nThis opportunity offers a competitive benefits package including:\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage with wellness benefits \nCompany-matching 401(k) plan\nCompany-paid life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment benefits\nCompany-paid identity theft insurance\nCompany-paid disability\nFlexible spending and health savings accounts\nCompany-paid employee assistance program\nPaid time off and paid holidays\nAdditional benefits included: voluntary life insurance, legal benefits, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, and pet insurance\n\nOld World Industries is among the largest privately held companies competing in the automotive aftermarket today.
