A crucial element of this growth engine is attracting new consumer demand for our restaurant customers through SEO and AEO/GEO.\nOwner’s acquisition engine first identifies what makes a given restaurant unique, evaluates local demand for its offerings, and assesses the most relevant competition to determine the best strategy for promoting that restaurant. Then, the platform automatically generates relevant website pages and content, monitors results over time, and evolves its strategy as it gets more data.\nWe are looking for a mission-driven engineer who is passionate about their craft and committed to building incredible products for our customers.\nWhat you’ll work on:\nOwn the technical strategy for SEO/AEO systems at scale, translating ambiguous growth goals into a prioritized roadmap, clear metrics, and durable system architecture.\n\nLead end-to-end delivery of major initiatives such as new ingestion sources, indexing and serving improvements, or content generation workflows, from design through launch and operational readiness.\n\nRaise the bar on reliability, quality, and observability across pipelines and services, building guardrails, alerting, dashboards, and incident-ready runbooks that enable sustained iteration.\n\nDrive a rigorous experimentation and measurement loop, partnering with product, data, and cross-functional teams to validate impact, diagnose regressions, and continuously improve performance.\n\nMentor and multiply the team, setting engineering standards, reviewing designs, coaching other engineers, and aligning across teams where changes require shared ownership.\n\nWhat we need:\nStrong technical leadership and end-to-end ownership.\nAbility to set direction, drive alignment, and deliver multi-quarter initiatives from design through launch and iteration.\n\nFamiliarity with SEO systems at scale.\nExperience with crawling and indexing, content generation, templating, structured data, internal linking, canonicalization, and internationalization is a plus.\n\nData and experimentation rigor.\nComfort defining success metrics, running controlled experiments, analyzing results, and debugging performance changes (rankings, traffic, conversion).\n\nOperational excellence.\nExperience building reliable pipelines and services with strong observability, alerting, and incident-ready runbooks.\n\nSystems thinking across the stack.\nAble to reason about tradeoffs across ingestion, storage, serving, and quality controls, and to design durable architectures.\n\nCross-functional partnership.\nAble to collaborate tightly with Product, Data, and Design, and influence decisions without authority.\n\nCompensation and benefits\nThe estimated starting base salary range for this role is $200K-220K depending on level, location and experience, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package\n\nOther benefits include comprehensive health coverage, work from anywhere (remote-first workplace), unlimited PTO - plus extra fun perks!\n\nNotice - Employment Scams\nCommunication from our team regarding job opportunities will only be made by an Owner team member with an @owner.com email address.\nWe do not conduct interviews over email or chat platforms, and we will never ask you to provide personal or financial information such as your mailing address, social security number, credit card numbers or banking information.
