Whether you’re fixing an underlying control weakness, improving the close process, establishing finance operations for a new overseas entity or strengthening how NetSuite supports the business, you’ll be expected to turn complex problems into robust, sustainable solutions.\nThe Group Financial Controller will retain overall accountability for Group reporting, statutory reporting, tax, treasury, material accounting judgements and the wider Group control environment.\nThis is an initial 6 month fixed term contract with the possibility of it becoming permanent.\nWhat You'll Be Working On\nLead financial-control remediation across areas including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, payroll, fixed assets, financial close, reporting and finance systems, taking issues from root-cause analysis through to implementation and testing.\nResolve complex accounting, reconciliation and reporting issues, replacing recurring manual fixes with sustainable processes and controls.\nStrengthen month-end, year-end and statutory reporting processes through improved reconciliations, working papers, review controls and technical accounting analysis.\nDesign, document and embed scalable financial controls, procedures and accounting policies with clear ownership, evidence and segregation of duties.\nEstablish finance processes, systems, reporting structures and controls for new overseas entities, working with internal teams and external professional advisers.\nLead finance systems and process improvements, using NetSuite, automation and better data flows to improve accuracy, efficiency and scalability without compromising control.\nAct as a senior technical resource across Finance, challenging existing ways of working, supporting colleagues and ensuring improved processes transition effectively into business-as-usual operations.\nWhat We're Looking For\nA fully qualified Chartered Accountant - ACA, ACCA or equivalent.\nStrong practical knowledge of IFRS, financial accounting, technical accounting analysis and statutory financial reporting.\nDemonstrable experience delivering hands-on financial-control remediation from root-cause analysis through solution design, implementation and testing.\nExperience across complex finance cycles such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, payroll, fixed assets, financial close and reporting.\nStrong experience designing, documenting and implementing financial controls and working with established control frameworks such as SOX or COSO.\nProven ability to resolve complex balance-sheet, reconciliation, audit and financial-reporting issues independently.\nStrong finance systems capability, including hands-on experience with NetSuite, alongside experience improving finance processes, controls and workflows.\nExperience preparing statutory reporting schedules, audit evidence and technical documentation, and working directly with external audit requirements.\nThe ability to lead complex finance improvement workstreams involving multiple stakeholders and translate technical issues into clear, practical recommendations.\nA proactive, tenacious approach: you investigate the root cause, take ownership and see complex problems through to resolution.\nThe 'Nice-to-Haves'\nExperience establishing or improving finance operations for new legal entities or overseas subsidiaries.\nExperience within an international Group operating across multiple jurisdictions.\nBackground in a fast-paced start-up, scale-up or technology environment.\nExperience remediating controls following external audit, internal review or control-assessment findings.\nExposure to significant finance transformation or control-improvement programmes.\nExperience across both private and listed-company environments.\nKnowledge of IT general controls, finance-system implementation or configuration.\nExperience using automation, data analysis, finance technology or AI to improve finance processes.\nWhy Join OQC\nYou will join a world-class team at the forefront of the next computational era.
