The Purpose
Turn customer problems into measurable product outcomes while building a coherent, reusable quantum platform.
As our Senior Technical Product Manager, you’ll own the roadmap for OQC’s Quantum Model Platform and outcome products. You’ll translate customer needs into focused product increments, clear acceptance metrics and commercial delivery plans, ensuring individual opportunities contribute to a shared platform rather than a collection of bespoke customer projects.
The Role
Reporting to the VP Product Management, you’ll be a senior individual contributor within OQC’s Product Management team. The role is based in London, Kings Cross.
You’ll work across product, engineering, commercial and partnerships to keep product direction aligned with customer needs and company strategy. Your focus will be on narrowing broad technical opportunities into deliverable requirements, measurable demonstrations of customer value and product claims supported by evidence.
You’ll need the technical credibility to engage confidently with APIs, model development, heterogeneous compute and deployment, without needing to be the system architect.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Own the roadmap for OQC’s Quantum Model Platform and outcome products, including Detect & Predict and Generate & Validate.
- Translate customer problems into small, clearly scoped requirements, with defined acceptance metrics and commercial delivery plans.
- Protect the coherence and reusability of the shared platform, ensuring customer-specific requirements do not fragment it into disconnected bespoke projects.
- Align product and engineering priorities with commercial activity, partnerships and OQC’s wider company strategy.
What We’re Looking For
- Technical credibility across APIs, model development, heterogeneous compute and deployment, with the ability to contribute effectively without owning system architecture.
- The ability to narrow broad technology opportunities into measurable customer proofs and defensible product claims.
- A strong sense of ownership, clear communication and the ability to work effectively across disciplines.
- A degree, or equivalent practical experience, in product management, engineering, business or a related discipline.
The ‘Nice-to-Haves’
- Experience delivering enterprise AI, data, developer-platform, high-performance computing or quantum products, ideally into regulated sectors such as finance or defence.
- Familiarity with quantum or hybrid classical-quantum products.
- A pragmatic, curious approach and comfort working in a fast-evolving technical environment.
- A relevant professional or postgraduate qualification.
