This individual will play an important role in the day-to-day accounting function, with an initial focus on developing a deep understanding of the company’s general ledger, supporting the monthly close, owning key account reconciliations, and helping manage accounts payable and cash activity.\nAs the individual develops familiarity with the business and accounting environment, the role is expected to expand into broader areas of accounting and finance, including financial reporting, systems and process improvement, multi-entity accounting, audit readiness, and exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and cash planning.\nThe ideal candidate has a strong public accounting foundation, is a CPA, and is comfortable operating in a lean, dynamic organization where responsibilities evolve and team members are expected to take ownership, solve problems, and continuously improve processes.\nKey Responsibilities\nAccounting Operations & Financial Close\nSupport the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in accordance with U.S. GAAP.\n\nDevelop a strong understanding of the company’s general ledger, accounting processes, and underlying business activity.\n\nPrepare and maintain journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed asset schedules, and other key close-related analyses.\n\nOwn and perform account reconciliations, including bank and cash reconciliations, and investigate and resolve reconciling items.\n\nSupport and increasingly take ownership of accounts payable, vendor activity, payment processing, transaction coding, and related controls.\n\nMaintain accurate supporting schedules and ensure the completeness and integrity of general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers with NetSuite.\n\nReview account activity, investigate variances and unusual items, and escalate accounting matters as appropriate.\n\nFinancial Reporting & Analysis\nSupport the Controller in preparing monthly financial statements, management reporting, support schedules, and other supporting documentation.\n\nAssist with monthly variance analysis and other financial reporting packages.\n\nOver time, gain exposure to budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, and other FP&A activities.\n\nWork with external accountants, tax advisers, and other financial partners as needed.\n\nAssist the Controller with preparing and presenting financial results to the Chief Financial Officer and Management.\n\nMulti-Entity Accounting & Organizational Development\nSupport accounting across multiple legal entities, including intercompany and related-party activity.\n\nAssist with the development of accounting processes, controls, and reporting structures for new entities as the organization evolves.\n\nGain exposure to both for-profit and not-for-profit to accounting environments.\n\nSupport efforts to strengthen financial reporting, documentation, and internal processes in preparation for future audits and increased organizational complexity\n\nAssist with accounting and operational workstreams related to organizational restructuring and entity formation.\n\nInternal Controls & Compliance\nMaintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting and accounting operations.\n\nHelp document and improve accounting policies, procedures, and workflows.\n\nSupport corporate, tax, regulatory, and audit-related requirements.\n\nIdentify opportunities to strengthen controls while maintaining efficient and practical processes.\n\nSystems & Process Improvement\nBecome a strong user of NetSuite and related finance systems.\n\nIdentify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting processes.\n\nSupport improvements to reporting, systems configurations, and finance operations.\n\nPartner cross-functionally with Operations, HR, and other teams to ensure accurate financial data and effective processes.\n\nKey Goals and Outcomes\nBecome a trusted day-to-day accounting partner to the Controller, enabling greater focus on review and higher-level finance work.\n\nHelp build a scalable accounting function that supports OXMAN's evolving multi-entity structure and future audit readiness.\n\nGrow over time into broader responsibilities across the finance and operations functions.\n\nRequired Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; Master’s degree a plus.\n\n3-6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting experience at a Big Four or comparable firm.\n\nStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles.\n\nExperience with ERP systems;
