Our goal is to meet the highest employer standards by ensuring the health and safety of our employees, protecting the environment and positively impacting our communities where we do business.\nWe are currently looking for experienced, motivated, and creative individuals to fill an Automation Project Manager in our US Onshore Resources & Carbon Management (ORCM), Production OperationsBusiness Unit based in Casper, Wyoming.\nThis role will oversee all aspects of automation construction and commissioning on New Development projects as well as Maintenance projects. Responsible for completing projects as per schedule. Perform a variety of tasks including scheduling for project timelines, scheduling resources on projects, review of engineering design documents and validate facility compliance with engineering documents, red-line documentation as needed, update status reports on projects to leadership. Responsible to manage more than one project at a time.\nRoles & Responsibilities:\nParticipates in TOTS and M&C project meetings\n\nEnsures engineering documentation is available for automation commissioning\n\nFacilitate alignment and allocation of manpower resources on projects\n\nAlign PLC programming integrator resources to function test and validate all automation equipment on site (devices, LOIs, switches, RTUs, etc.) as per engineering design\n\nCollaborates with respective construction teams on site regarding IFC designs, verifies automation engineering design deliverables to site IFC and works to resolve discrepancies through automation engineering.\n\nCommunicates construction and commissioning issues with engineering and provides red-lined documents where applicable\n\nReports on project status and ensures commissioning documents and status reports are completed\n\nCollaborates with all project managers on facilities and M&C projects (Mechanical and Electrical scopes of work)\n\nLocal Asset representative for Automation Team to Production Ops Business Unit\n\nCreates an environment where members of the team make the day-to-day decisions while providing the tools, training, and support needed to make those decisions\n\nEnsure working environment is conducive to meeting Business Unit’s production and safety targets\n\nRemove roadblocks and impediments, foster process improvements with engineering\n\nEnsures compliance with Oxy standards and best practices\n\nIdentify and communicate design challenges and offer improvement suggestions to engineering\n\nIdentify and enhance inefficiencies of processes and control equipment\n\nParticipates in continuous improvement teams\n\nAffectively engage with and utilize resources internal and external of business unit\n\nParticipate in technical reviews of assets and/or new business ventures\n\nParticipate in annual and long-term business planning\n\nParticipate in staffing plans to ensure adequate staffing level to support business plans\n\nParticipate in the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of employees that are a good fit for the position & organization\n\nAssist in promoting the development of team members professional and technical skills\n\nAssist in Developing and/or managing programs, systems, and practices for maintaining & enhancing a safe, productive, and environmentally sound work environment\n\nSupport operations with training on automation control system functions\n\nEducation:\n4 year technical degree or equivalent working experience\n\nProfessional/Technical Knowledge:\nAdvanced knowledge of oil and gas automation systems\n\nExperience:\n6 + years of Oil Field experience\n\n2 + years of Managerial experience preferred\n\n2 + years of Project Management Experience preferred\n\nSkills & Competencies:\nIn depth experience with managing New Development oil and gas facilities/projects\n\nIn depth experience with managing Maintenance and Construction projects\n\nValued contributor to business analysis and planning at all levels\n\nStrong communication skills (verbal/written/listening/presentation)\n\nProblem solving skills with ability to analyze and recommend solutions on problems of high complexity\n\nUnderstanding of Surface Production Equipment and process system controls\n\nGeneral knowledge of Surface Team, Reservoir Team, Downhole Team, Risk / AI team, IT and HSE\n\nAdvanced level competency in oil and gas automation systems\n\nVisionary for process improvement and development of new technologies\n\nAbility to complete staffing plans to ensure adequate staffing levels to support the business plan\n\nAbility to develop professional and technical skills through coaching, feedback, and training\n\nRecruitment Fraud\nIt has come to our attention various individuals and/or organizations are contacting people falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of Oxy.
