Our goal is to meet the highest employer standards by ensuring the health and safety of our employees, protecting the environment and positively impacting our communities where we do business.\nDivision Order Advisor facilitates the distribution of proceeds from oil and gas sales and collection of well expenses in an assigned region by determining the relative ownership of the Company, working interest partners, overriding royalty holders and royalty holders through analyses of title documents and by maintaining and updating ownership records.\nReview and monitor well reports across multiple geographic areas.\nDetermine divisions of interest, calculate royalty and working interest ownership, and ensure timely and accurate payment of proceeds for complex and high-risk transactions.\nPerform and oversee deck setup and maintenance for operated, non-operated, and payout wells.\nCalculate, validate, and report ownership interests, ensuring accuracy and alignment with title documentation and contractual obligations.\nEnsure division order and well setup processes are effectively integrated across Land Operations, Land Administration, Accounting, and other functional groups.\nEnsure compliance with contractual obligations and state statutory payment requirements.\nAnalyze and interpret complex leases, contracts, division orders, deeds, assignments, probate documents, judgments, decrees, and title opinions.\nRevise working interest and royalty ownership based on title documentation and curative outcomes.\nSet up and maintain unit ownership, including amendments, reallocations, and revisions.\nIdentify, investigate, and resolve complex data integrity, ownership, and process issues.\nDetermine, request, and evaluate documentation required to cure title and ownership issues.\nObtain, interpret, and apply curative materials to resolve title defects and mitigate legal and financial risk.\nParticipate in developing and enhancing processes to identify, mitigate, and manage risks associated with division order setup and maintenance.\nLead and support cross-functional projects, including acquisitions, divestitures, system implementations, and owner clean-up initiatives.\nConduct and support due diligence activities, ensuring all relevant legal and ownership documentation is identified, reviewed, and evaluated to support business decisions.\nPrepare and present due diligence findings, risk assessments, and recommendations to management.\nAssist with litigation-related matters as requested, coordinating with Legal and other stakeholders.\nLead discussions on process, system, and control improvements and provide recommendations to management.\nEnsure legal, procedural, and operational considerations are fully incorporated into projects and initiatives.\nServe as a mentor and technical resource to other Division Order professionals.\nWork directly with external stakeholders, including landowners, partners, and operators, handling complex and sensitive issues.\nFollow company standards, governance, and best practices of the Division Order function.\nMaintain active involvement in local and national industry associations through meetings, networking, and continuing education.\nOpportunities include both Operated Assets (Midland Basin, Rockies, New Mexico) and Non-Operated Assets .\nQualifications\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to efficiently adopt additional systems and applications.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ownership and legal concepts clearly to diverse audiences.\nWorking knowledge of Quorum Land System and/or SAP preferred.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.\nAbility to handle highly confidential and proprietary company information.\nStrong understanding of land principles, title concepts, and contractual interpretation applicable to complex ownership scenarios.\nExtensive knowledge of land terminology, contracts, and division order practices with the ability to independently lead work of significant complexity.\nDemonstrated ability to lead projects and influence outcomes without direct supervisory authority.\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree with Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience, or\nFourteen (14) or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.\nRelocation\nThis position may be eligible for relocation.\nTravel Requirements\nThe percentage of travel required for this position is 0-10%.\nWork Schedule\nThis position is eligible for the 9/80 work schedule and Balanced Workplace Program.\nRecruitment Fraud\nIt has come to our attention various individuals and/or organizations are contacting people falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of Oxy.
