This role partners with Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, Automation, Supply Chain, and Engineering to reduce equipment failures and production deferment; optimize maintenance strategies; strengthen asset integrity; and support safe, efficient facility operations.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nReliability and Asset Performance\nMonitor and analyze equipment performance, reliability trends, and maintenance effectiveness across offshore assets.\nDevelop, maintain, and improve reliability strategies for critical production, utility, and safety systems.\nIdentify equipment bad actors and recurring failures through data-driven analysis and cross-functional review.\nEstablish, track, and communicate reliability key performance indicators, including mean time between failures (MTBF), mean time to repair (MTTR), equipment availability, and maintenance compliance.\nFacilitate reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) studies and maintenance-optimization initiatives.\nFailure Analysis and Technical Support\nLead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations for significant equipment failures, repeat failures, and production losses.\nProvide technical support for equipment troubleshooting, major outages, and recovery activities.\nDevelop corrective actions and reliability-improvement plans; monitor progress through closure.\nSupport management-of-change activities associated with equipment modifications and reliability improvements.\nMaintenance Strategy and Optimization\nReview preventive and predictive maintenance programs for technical effectiveness, risk reduction, and cost efficiency.\nOptimize maintenance strategies using condition-monitoring data, equipment history, risk assessments, and operating context.\nSupport planning and execution of shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance campaigns.\nImprove SAP maintenance plans, task lists, and equipment master data to support reliable execution and quality data.\nCondition Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance\nUse and interpret vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonic testing, and process data to identify degradation trends.\nReview condition-monitoring findings and recommend corrective actions based on equipment risk and operating impact.\nSupport implementation and expansion of predictive-maintenance technologies and associated work processes.\nRisk, Asset Integrity, and Compliance\nSupport asset-integrity programs for mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and rotating-equipment systems.\nParticipate in risk assessments and reliability reviews for critical and safety-critical equipment.\nSupport barrier-management and safety-critical-equipment assurance programs.\nPerform work in accordance with company standards, applicable regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.\nProjects and Continuous Improvement\nProvide reliability engineering input during design, commissioning, and startup of new projects and facility modifications.\nParticipate in factory acceptance tests, equipment inspections, and commissioning activities, as assigned.\nReview equipment specifications, maintainability requirements, and maintenance requirements during project development.\nIdentify opportunities to improve equipment availability, reduce lifecycle cost, and enhance maintenance execution.\nDevelop business cases for equipment upgrades, replacement projects, and reliability initiatives.\nPromote reliability best practices and support maintenance and reliability data-analytics initiatives across offshore facilities.\nScope of Equipment\nTypical equipment and systems may include:\nGas turbines, generator packages, diesel engines, and emergency generators.\nCompressors, compressor drivers, pumps, and pumping systems.\nFirewater systems, production separators, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and process systems.\nElectrical distribution systems, switchgear, motor-control centers, transformers, and uninterruptible power systems.\nControl valves, digital valve controllers, instrumentation, automation systems, and safety-instrumented systems.\nCrane systems, material-handling equipment, and offshore utility and marine systems.\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Marine, Reliability, or a related engineering discipline.\n5-10 years of relevant experience in offshore oil and gas, petrochemical, energy, or comparable industrial operations.\nExperience applying reliability engineering methodologies, RCFA, and maintenance-optimization practices.\nWorking knowledge of rotating and fixed equipment systems.\nProficiency with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) or a comparable computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCertified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification.\nReliability-centered maintenance certification.\nVibration-analysis certification (Category I-IV).\nKnowledge of applicable API, ISO, ABS, and offshore regulatory requirements.\nExperience supporting offshore Gulf of Mexico operations.\nWork Environment and Travel\nWork is performed in offshore oil and gas facilities and shore-based support locations, as required. The position may require travel to offshore facilities and participation in field-based troubleshooting, inspections, commissioning, and major maintenance activities.
