Our goal is to meet the highest employer standards by ensuring the health and safety of our employees, protecting the environment and positively impacting our communities where we do business.\nWe are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position ofProduction Technician - PFA within our Onshore Resources & Carbon Management EOR Waterflood Asset, located in Odessa, Texas.\nResponsibilities:\nThis position is responsible for oil and gas well operations, well testing, operating and maintaining field equipment and facilities, surveillance of general field operations and maintenance of various databases regarding production and operations. Non-scheduled call-outs outside normal business hours can be expected. These types of well include flowing, beam pump (with electronic pump-off controller), plunger lift, water injection and water disposal. Types of facilities include production tank batteries, flowlines, LACT (lease automatic custody transfer) facilities, water injection plants, natural gas compression, cathodic protection and metering devices (electronic gas measurement and others). Job is to be performed employing safe work practices while utilizing acceptable environmental procedures to maximize earnings while minimizing costs on assigned oil and gas producing properties. In addition, the follow responsibilities apply to the Production Tech-PFA role.\nTroubleshoot and investigate failures on well location and make minor repairs (LC cables, position, BP valve, POC)\nShoot fluid levels on exception wells\nCheck wells after pull for alignment, balance, proper setup, etc.\nCollaborate with WOA & WOS to work daily well exceptions\nWork with well analyst to well test evaluation and troubleshoot issues\nCoordinate well chemical treatment and cleanup operations\nProvide input for pulling jobs\nIdentify major cost drivers and evaluate processes for opportunities of improvement\nReview daily, weekly, monthly reports and evaluate for opportunities of improvement\nParticipate in pattern reviews\nParticipate in integrated solution team failure meetings\nQualifications:\n5+ years oil and gas industry experienced preferred\nAt least High School Grad or GED. Some college or technical training preferred\nValid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record\nBasic understanding of surface operations\nAdvance understanding of troubleshooting wells (ESP, Beam, etc.)\nBasic understanding of LOWIS, EVIN, Graphworx, etc.\nBasic understanding of downhole assembly\nAbility to operate an echometer or fluid shot gun\nBasic understanding of dynamometer cards\nAnalyze R/T, cycles, PIP, etc., trends to identify deviations\nStrong initiative and self-starter\nMulti-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization\nGood communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision\nTechnical skills related to math and analytical processes\nProficiency in the use of personal computer utilizing a windows environment\nAbility to keep neat and accurate records\nGeneral mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills\nRecruitment Fraud\nIt has come to our attention various individuals and/or organizations are contacting people falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of Oxy.
