We maximize Archie’s anthropomorphism so that he fits seamlessly into existing engineering teams and workflows in the form factor of a human engineer. Archie today is at the level of a junior mechanical and electrical engineer, with a quantitative intuition over the product design space and the ability to use complex engineering tools-the same tools his human teammates use. Archie's tech stack includes a custom agentic harness, structured design representation, continual skills learning, and small custom post-trained models (SFT and RLVR) using proprietary semi-synthetic training data sets and environments which create a deep competitive moat. Our ultimate aim is to build engineering ASI. We are backed in our mission by some of the top venture investors and AI luminaries.\nAbout the opportunity:\nYou'll build the product experience that sits between frontier AI systems and demanding technical users, solving interaction problems that simply didn't exist before agentic AI. Every feature you ship will directly shape how engineers work with AI in the physical world.\nAbout the role:\nBuild the core product platform upon which Archie is built and shipped to customers.\n\nResponsible for end-to-end product features that may span architecture, back end, front end, and reliability.\n\nDevelop and adopt state of the art best practices for using coding agents in the team's development workflow.\n\nWork closely with our forward deployed engineers, AI researchers, fellow SWEs, and founders to rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on entirely new product concepts.\n\nShip continuously, respond to feedback from customers, and refine the product through rapid iteration.\n\nAbout you:\nSWE heavyweight that can work across architecture, infrastructure, back end, front end, and everything in between.\n\nTaken products or significant features from concept through production and can clearly explain the engineering decisions made along the way.\n\nTake deep pride in the product you put out.\n\nAlways experimenting with the latest AI products to optimize your workflow for efficiency and code caliber.\n\nHave public proof of talent through products, open-source work, personal projects, technical writing, or other artifacts you've created.\n\nThrive in fast-moving environments where ownership is high, ambiguity is normal, and shipping quickly matters.\n\nLocation:\nRemote (US/Canada) or San Mateo, CA.
