The engineer will be responsible for evaluating the current network setup, designing the target architecture, and overseeing the migration process while maintaining network stability and minimizing service interruptions.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAnalyze the existing network infrastructure, including configurations, connectivity, VPNs, security policies, and potential vulnerabilities.\n\nDesign and implement a Cisco-based network architecture covering routing, switching, segmentation, and security.\n\nDevelop and coordinate the migration strategy, including configuration backups, deployment phases, maintenance windows, and rollback procedures.\n\nEnsure seamless interoperability between existing MikroTik devices and newly introduced Cisco equipment during the transition.\n\nConfigure secure site-to-site connections and support the migration of remote-access VPN solutions.\n\nConduct post-migration testing to verify network performance, connectivity, security, and failover capabilities.\n\nSet up network monitoring and logging solutions.\n\nMaintain comprehensive technical documentation and prepare operational guidelines.\n\nProvide knowledge transfer to the team responsible for ongoing network support.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nStrong hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment, including routing, switching, and IOS/IOS XE configuration.\n\nPractical experience with MikroTik RouterOS, including VLANs, bridging, routing, firewall rules, NAT, and VPN configuration.\n\nSolid understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts, including STP/RSTP, LACP, VLANs, IP addressing, and routing protocols.\n\nExperience implementing network security measures such as ACLs, firewall policies, NAT, and secure administrative access.\n\nGood knowledge of IPsec/IKEv2 VPN technologies, including policy-based and route-based configurations.\n\nAbility to troubleshoot connectivity and interoperability issues between Cisco and MikroTik platforms.\n\nExperience upgrading or migrating network infrastructure in production environments.\n\nStrong LAN/WAN troubleshooting skills and the ability to create migration plans and technical documentation.\n\nWould Be a Plus\n\nPrevious experience with MikroTik-to-Cisco infrastructure migration projects.\n\nCisco certifications such as CCNP Enterprise or CCNP
