This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of PACCAR's Mainframe applications, predominantly uses COBOL, IMS, DB2, JCL and CICS.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nWork with customers to define, design, and propose alternative solutions in response to changing business needs.\nWork with customers to troubleshoot reported issues.\nDevelop quality code and its associated documentation, adhering to team & departmental guideline\nResolves production support problems. Troubleshoot reported issues and provide problem resolution.\nDevelop and suggest alternative approaches to resolving problems\nMust be able and willing to work weekends and evenings to support on-call responsibilities as needed is required.\nPerform administration and installation functions\nPerform CICS Administration duties.\nDocument and recommend application fixes and enhancements.\nPerform mainframe system performance duties.\nProvide services and guidance on application projects.\nMaintain close communication with Operations, Implementation, Recovery, Help Desk, Applications, and Open Systems personnel.\nResearch and design new technologies and make recommendations\n\nEducation Requirements\n\nBachelor's degree in in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field desired.\n\nKnowledge & Skills REQUIRED\n\n8-10 years software engineering experience including code development, scripting, workflow and data mapping.\nMinimum 5+ years mainframe support experience: COBOL, IMS (DB), DB2, CICS, JCL\nExperience in code development, scripting, workflow and data mapping.\nWarranty Experience\nSOX/Compliance reporting\nOpen to support US time zone (IST 2 pm to 11:30 pm)\nWilling to work as on-call support once in 4 to 5 weeks\n\nTechnical / Professional Experience Desired\n\nAgile experience a plus\nKnowledge of AI-assisted modernization tools experience a plus\nKnowledge of .NET (C#) / Java programming languages is a plus\nWilling to learn, Team Player\nMaintain high level of quality while working under pressure and deadlines.\nAbility in all areas of technical writing skills for information or infrastructure systems. \n\nCompetencies And Behaviours\n\nStrong verbal/written communication skills.\nDemonstrated ability to work independently and/or as a team member.\nStrong organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills.\n24x7 on-call availability as required.
