Works as a liaison between Pace and the vehicle manufacturer. Essential functions include:\nResponsible for overseeing technical training of Pace Maintenance employees. Develops and presents classroom and hands-on training and to oversee all activities of vehicle maintenance training for electric bus and when required hybrid propulsions systems. Works in conjunction with component manufacturers and outside agencies to enhance Pace's training program.\n\nAdministering and evaluating training programs in conjunction with maintenance superintendents, and supervisors, scheduling of classes and training employees in technical and non-technical aspects of maintenance,\n\nDeveloping and organizing training manuals, lesson plans, class schedules, procedures and employee advancement programs, maintain records and monitor and evaluate trainees.\n\nOther duties include representing the Maintenance Department, observing and analyzing work practices, encouraging positive change, resolving bus maintenance issues, and coordinating classes with maintenance staff as well as other departments.\n\nPreforming other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nEducation:\nMust have a Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation Planning or Administration or Logistics or equivalent experience.\nExperience:\nA minimum of five (5) years’ verifiable work experience in diagnostics, maintenance and/or repair of transit vehicles, with an excellent work history.\nCertifications:\nMust have or obtain within 90 days of being hired, a valid \"B\" Commercial Driver's license with passenger and air brake endorsements and the ability to operate Pace equipment.\nMust have or obtain, within 90 days of being hired, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification, and forklift certification.\nProficiencies:\nMust demonstrate intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nMust have strong customer service skills and be detail-oriented. Must have experience managing vendor relationships.\nMust be proficient in computer skills required for teaching, research and record keeping.\nMust be able to handle confidential and/or sensitive information in a professional manner.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThis role requires sitting for extended periods, typing on a computer, and attending meetings. This is a safety-sensitive position.\nWorking Conditions:\nThis position is based in an office setting, with standard office equipment, including a computer, phone, and desk space.
