You can read more about us in this letter from our founders.\nWhy This Role Matters\nAs Controller, you will be responsible for all accounting and financial operations activities for Pacific Fusion. You will work to build and optimize processes and enable the engineers and scientists across the organization as they bring our demonstration system online.\nWhat You'll Do\nExecute a monthly close process including producing monthly financial statements\nOversee all aspects of financial operations including accounts payable, payroll and accounts receivable\nProduce quarterly financial reporting including plan to actuals and associated analysis\nWork across the finance team to update the corporate forecast each quarter\nPerform ad hoc analysis as requested to support various leadership initiatives \nDrive efficiency across financial operations processes\nDevelop and support a team of six accounting personnel\nWhat You Bring\nAt least four years of public accounting experience\nExperience owning the end to end month end close process for a hardware company\nExperience creating new operational processes and ensuring continued improvement of those processes over time\nExperience compiling financial details into cohesive and comprehensive executive summaries for consumption by various levels of leadership\nBonus Points For\nExperience in a public company SOX environment\nExperience working in a startup \nExperience implementing finance-touching software tools \nExperience working in industries such as: fusion, energy, aerospace, automotive or manufacturing\nExperience working closely with PhD scientists and R&D technology organizations\nPay Range:\n$200,000—$275,000 USD\nTOTAL COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS FOR ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES\nIndustry-competitive salary\n\nEquity plan\n\n6% employer 401k matching\n\nGenerous paid time off (including sick leave, vacation, paid family leave)\n\nMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance\n\nActual base salary offered will be determined by: experience, skills, and work location.
