Rooted in the philosophy that “community is therapy,” the Clubhouse operates on a “work-ordered day” where members and staff work side-by-side to manage operations, build skills, and support each other in achieving meaningful life goals. The program provides opportunities for employment, education, skill development, social connection, and access to essential resources that promote independence and stability.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Anthropology, Public Health, or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience\nMinimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a similar setting\nMinimum 2 years of experience working with individuals living with serious mental health conditions\nStrong understanding of evidence-based practices in mental health treatment\nExperience with Medi-Cal reporting, behavioral health policies, and regulations preferred\nStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills\nStrong administrative and organizational skills with excellent time management\nMust be proficient in technology, including documentation systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office\nKnowledge of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion principles and trauma-informed care\nBilingual (English/Spanish or other threshold language) highly preferred but not required\nWhat This Role Looks Like (Day-to-Day Reality)\nLead day-to-day operations of the Clubhouse program\nWork closely with members and staff in a collaborative, community-based environment\nOversee program performance, staffing, and compliance\nBalance administrative leadership with hands-on program engagement\nBuild partnerships and maintain strong community presence\nThis role requires strong leadership, emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage both people and operations in a dynamic, mission-driven environment\nWhat You’ll Do\nProgram Leadership\nProvide leadership and vision aligned with the Clubhouse International Model\nFoster a therapeutic, community-driven environment focused on collaboration and shared responsibility\nOversee all program components including Work-Ordered Day, employment, education, and social programming\nAdministrative Oversight\nManage overall program operations including fiscal oversight, risk management, and quality assurance\nEnsure compliance with Medi-Cal, contract requirements, and internal policies\nOversee data collection, reporting, and documentation accuracy\nMaintain a safe, clean, and functional work environment\nStaff Supervision & Development\nSupervise, coach, and develop staff to ensure high-quality service delivery\nLead hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts\nEvaluate staff performance and promote professional growth\nEnsure meaningful member participation across all program activities\nCollaboration & Community Engagement\nBuild and maintain relationships with employers, community partners, and advisory boards\nSupport Transitional Employment programming and employer partnerships\nParticipate in provider meetings and coordinated care efforts\nCommunicate regularly with contract stakeholders and representatives\nProgram Quality & Member Experience\nEnsure services are delivered in alignment with Clubhouse standards and evidence-based practices\nPromote a culture of respect, inclusion, and recovery\nSupport members in achieving vocational, social, and personal goals\nAdditional Responsibilities\nParticipate in occasional evening, weekend, or community events\nDemonstrate cultural competence, trauma-informed care, and gender-responsive practices\nComplete all required trainings in a timely manner (California-based Clubhouse training)\nPerform other duties as assigned\nHow Success Is Measured\nProgram compliance and contract performance\nMember engagement and program participation\nStaff performance and retention\nQuality and consistency of service delivery\nStrength of community partnerships and employment outcomes\nWho Thrives in This Role\nIs a strong, mission-driven leader\nBuilds collaborative, community-based environments\nIs highly organized and operationally strong\nThrives in people-centered, dynamic settings\nIs passionate about mental health recovery and social impact\nWork Requirements\nAbility to work on-site full-time in San Diego locations\nAbility to participate in occasional evenings, weekends, and events\nAbility to manage both administrative and field-based responsibilities\nCompensation & Benefits\nSalary Range: $75,000.00 -
