We are recruiting for several different levels, depending on your education, experience, and credentials.\nThis opportunity follows a hybrid schedule of four days in the office (on-site). If you are not currently located near one of our offices, you will be required to relocate.\nAs an actuarial student, you will automatically be enrolled in our Student Actuarial Rotation Program. The purpose of the Program is to develop and broaden the skills, knowledge, and breadth of experience of actuaries across Pacific Life. Students typically rotate every 18-24 months, which aims to expose them to multiple functional areas, products, and technologies.\nThe Actuarial Student Program provides competitive benefits designed to encourage and assist with progress toward the Fellowship designation including paid study time, expense reimbursement for registration fees and study materials, and bonuses and raises associated with passing exams and modules.\nHow you will make an impact:\nActively pursue the ASA/FSA credential by participating in the Student Actuarial Rotation Program \nPerform analyses to assess and manage risk associated with insurance and other financial products & instruments \nAnalyze and provide counsel to business leaders regarding the economic and financial costs of risk and uncertainty for the business \nUse knowledge of advanced statistical analysis, predictive modeling analytics, financial accounting, and/or actuarial research to develop, test, and validate models used in business decisions. \nMonitor and analyze laws and regulation developments applicable to functional area operations \nConsider internal and external statistical trends, factors, issues, and data impacting results as well as the company’s business goals and strategies in analyses, recommendations, and/or decisions. \nThe experience you bring:\nProgress toward actuarial credentials, with strong commitment to achieving ASA/FSA designation.\nRelevant actuarial experience, with a solid foundation in actuarial and financial concepts.\nExperience working with actuarial models, financial analysis, or other quantitative tools and processes.\nBachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related quantitative field. \nWhat makes you stand out:\nDemonstrated drive toward achieving the FSA designation.\nAbility to connect technical analysis and emerging trends to financial and business impacts.\nStrong technical expertise combined with sound judgment around reasonability and materiality.\nOwnership of end-to-end processes, with the independence to move work forward with limited guidance.\nA continuous-improvement mindset, including identifying opportunities for automation, simplification, and process enhancement.\nAbility to constructively challenge existing approaches and recommend priorities or alternative solutions.\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear messages and presentations for different audiences.\nAdaptability and effectiveness when priorities change.\nBase Pay Range:\nThe base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.
