Our team of 4 is based in Newport Beach, CA. This role is on-site 4 days per week and work from home 1 day per week in Newport Beach, CA, Omaha, NE, or Charlotte, NC.\nAs an Analytics Engineer, you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by bridging the gap between our Life Insurance and Annuity business, analytics, and data engineering to deliver tools and AI solutions that enhance decision-making across CMD Product Development.\nWhat You'll Do\nDevelop and deploy AI and analytics solutions, including generative AI applications, workflow automation, knowledge assistants, and decision-support tools.\nPartner with Product Development Actuaries to translate business needs into scalable data, analytics, and AI capabilities.\nDesign and maintain data models, pipelines, and Snowflake assets that support reporting, analytics, and AI tools.\nCreate dashboards that drive quick decision making.\nBuild and maintain Python- and SQL-based solutions to automate processes, enhance data solutions, and increase efficiency.\nSupport AI initiatives from concept through deployment, adoption, and continuous iteration.\nChampion best practices in analytics engineering, responsible AI, and data governance.\nWhat You'll Bring\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\n3+ years of experience in analytics, statistics, data engineering, data science, machine learning, AI, or a related discipline.\nExperience with SQL, Python, Snowflake, and dbt.\nFamiliarity with generative AI, large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, RAG, machine learning, and workflow automation.\nExperience building dashboards, analytics products, or data-driven business solutions.\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with platforms such as Snowflake Cortex, Streamlit, React, Microsoft Copilot, Claude Code, Github Copilot, Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx.\nExperience developing AI assistants, copilots, agents, or other production-ready AI solutions.\nExperience in insurance, financial services, or a highly regulated industr y.\nSalary Ranges per Location:\nNewport Beach, CA: $103,140 - $126,060\nOmaha, NE: $89,010 - $108,790\nCharlotte, NC: $93,690 - $114,510\nThe range above reflects the role currently scoped.
