As part of the process team, this individual will be responsible for the daily involvement in calculations, drawings, reviews, reports, modelling and client support activities; all will be required.\nThe ideal candidate will have substantial experience providing process engineering design, delivering high quality projects to clients.\nIt's an exciting time to join Sedgman Ltd. as we are positioned for growth in North America. Many exciting ongoing projects in the lithium and other critical minerals space, along with copper, gold, potash, iron ore and more.\nCome join a team of forward thinking, enthusiastic, results-driven, collaborative professionals!!\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead the design efforts for mining projects, focusing on process scaling and optimization.\nLead/assist in the design and preparation of specifications for mineral processing plants.\nSize process equipment and develop specifications.\nTechnical knowledge of mineral processing and related unit operations, such as grinding, flotation, leaching, and solid-liquid separation\nProvide process design support or mineral processing facilities, through the engineering study phases, conceptual design, front-end engineering and detailed design.\nTroubleshoot and resolve process issues.\nDevelop process flow sheets and prepare process design criteria.\nPrepare process calculations, PFDs, heat & material balances and P&IDs.\nLead/assist in the cost estimation (capital and operating) of projects to evaluate their economic feasibility\nMentor and lead a team of process engineers, ensuring technical soundness and alignment with customer objectives. \nCoordinate with other departments to ensure safe and efficient operations\nWill be up-to-date with advancements in mining processing technology and recommend implementation of new equipment or processes \nAdditional duties as required\n\nRequirements:\nBachelor of Engineering (Mineral Processing, Metallurgy or Chemical Disciplines)\nWill have 10+ years of relevant process engineering design experience in the mining industry\nPrior experience in an engineering / consulting firm is required\nIn depth knowledge of process engineering, equipment, and technologies in the mining industry is required\nChemical, metallurgy and mineral processing experience is highly desired.\nGood communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills.\nProven ability to work as part of a team.\nStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skills\nConsidered an asset if has P.
