The Program Guide role's primary purpose is to learn the program and the necessary hard and soft skills while providing support to other members of the Program Guide team and following the direction of the Program Manager and Team Managers.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nUphold safety, supervision, and monitoring of residents in accordance with Program Policy \nLearn and articulate the Pacific Quest mission, guiding principles, and curriculum. \nEffectively communicate with residents in a group setting and direct resident groups toward common goals; demonstrate flexibility with placement, program, location, and resident supervision assignments; observe and identify the needs of individual residents and the group to create a physically and emotionally safe and supportive environment \nRole model program expectations at all times, which includes upholding our diet and wellness standards while at work \nBuild and maintain rapport with residents while holding boundaries that further therapeutic outcomes \nMaintain client confidentiality \nKeep appropriate boundaries related to self-disclosure, avoid teaching or speaking about controversial beliefs while at work including but not limited to political, religious, medication, diet, or lifestyle choices\nMaintain professional appearance and attitude in accordance with Program Policy \nParticipate in professional development through mandatory and voluntary monthly in-service training \nAble to cover for medication passes as needed, once trained\nComplete documentation of resident observations and incidents in a timely and thorough manner\nThe Program Guide positions have the following roles that require additional expectations and job responsibilities. Movement between roles will be based on the discretion of the Management Team and will account for seniority, performance assessment, participation in training, and operational needs.\nApprentice Guide\nGain knowledge and experience of Pacific Quest's curriculum and operating procedures \nShare responsibility for facilitation of group activities \nJourney Guide\nAssist with facilitation of group and individual activities, therapeutic and curriculum based groups, and mentor resident led groups\nEnsure daily safety procedures are completed in a timely and thorough manner\nMentor apprentice guides\nLead Guide\nHold the schedule for the shift and ensure completion of daily tasks and procedures per policies and instructions from leadership \nCollaborate with clinicians and program management to ensure completion of therapeutic objectives \nDelegate appropriate tasks to guide team members \nCoordinate special program functions such as outings, family program, and rites of passage\nAble to cover for medication passes as needed\nSpecial Projects as assigned\nRequired Competencies, Skills & Qualifications\nAbility to be a team player and form mutually respectful relationships with all employees \nAbility to maintain physical alertness and activity over the course of designated work hours in a safe manner \nMust provide and maintain current CPR/First Aid certification. CPR certifications must be from in-person training.
