Our Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician Technician salary is based on skills, knowledge and experience. PCA provides all special and heavy tools.\nPCA provides training hours to help technicians advance through the progressive skill levels and achieve higher pay\n50 cent shift differentials \nStipend for gym memberships\nUniforms are provided for Maintenance Technicians\nEXPLANATION:\nEmployees (and their dependents) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic life and disability insurance coverage, subject to applicable waiting periods. \nEmployees are:\nAutomatically enrolled in PCA's 401k retirement plan at the time of hire. \nFront-loaded with 48 hours of paid time off after completing 90 days of employment. \nEligible for 11 holidays after completing 30 days worked.\nReimbursed up to $150 for safety shoes after completing their introductory period. \nEligible for up to $35 per month for monthly fitness memberships.\nShift differential for swing and graveyard shifts.\nAnnual gainshare up to 10 percent of 11-month earnings \nIf you want to be part of an exceptional team with competitive pay and benefits package, please apply at www.careers.packagingcorp.com\nRESPONSIBILITIES: \nInspect and test electromechanical equipment to find faults and ensure proper operation\nRead and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals\nTroubleshoot AC/DC circuits, motor, controllers and mechanical components\nPerform preventative and predictive maintenance on industrial systems\nDocument all work, service records, repairs and equipment configurations accurately\nCollaborate with team members and other departments to improve machine uptime and reliability\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS: \nAssociate’s degree or technical certification in mechatronics, electro-mechanics, industrial maintenance or a related field (equivalent work experience will also be accepted)\nProficiency is using precision measuring tools to calibrate, troubleshoot and rebuild complex machines\nMinimum 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting\nStrong working knowledge of electrical test equipment (such as multimeters and oscilloscopes)\nSolid understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems\nBasic understanding of PLC’s\nGood communication skills and the ability to work safely with minimal supervision\nGood computer skills\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: \nWillingness to work any shift, overtime and weekends as needed\nMust be able to progress through our training process to A mechanic within 36 months\nMust be authorized to work in the US\nMust be passionate about safety \nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:\nAbility to work safely in a fast-paced environment.\nMust be able to acquire and/or retain a multi-craft skill set.
