are seeking resumes for a Maintenance Planner – Electrical in our Gladstone, VA facility.\nSummary\nPlans and schedules the execution of mechanical maintenance work orders and scheduled maintenance shutdowns including ordering parts and materials, scheduling mill manpower, managing contractor services, establishing time estimates, and detailing the chronology of events in Microsoft Project.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nProcures maintenance materials and equipment and manages shipment and delivery of equipment sent to vendors for rebuilds and repairs. \nManages maintenance costs, communicates to management when costs may exceed budget, and provides justification when they do exceed budget.\nActive participant in a maintenance and production team responsible for maximizing equipment production and availability. \nSchedules and leads maintenance shutdown planning meetings to meet the mill’s objectives. \nCovers for area mechanical supervision during vacations and absences or when otherwise necessary\nMust be willing to put in the necessary time as maintenance needs require, report to the mill during unscheduled work hours to assist in the resolution of maintenance and production problems, and report to the mill on weekends on a periodic on-call schedule. \n\nBasic Qualifications \nMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial setting in paper, pulp and power related function.\nFlexibility in the work schedule, including some evenings and weekends.\nMust have strong demonstrated leadership skills and the proven ability to lead effective teams. \nProblem solving skills and the ability to positively implement change. \nExcellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills are essential. \nStrong computer skills required including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.\n\nPreferred Qualifications \nBachelor’s degree in engineering.\nMinimum of five years of maintenance-related experience. \n\nKnowledge and Skills Required\nMust have strong organizational skills to handle numerous details, deadlines, and requests.\nMust have the ability to adapt to and work effectively and independently in a fast paced, multitasking environment.\nMust be able to evaluate and prioritize tasks for efficiency and completeness.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals throughout the company on departmental procedures, policies, and requests for
